Uniqlo’s sub-line, Uniqlo U recently released its latest Fall/Winter 2017 collection designed by famed designer Christopher Lemaire. After releasing two lauded collections with the Japanese superbrand as artistic director, former Hermès womenswear designer and Lemaire head, Christopher Lemaire once again offered his take on “progressive basics” with a new seasonal range. Comprised of “Blocktech” coats, nylon blouson jackets, lush knitwear, terry sweatshirts, copped trousers and more, the fall/winter collection utilizes a muted color palette to highlight the quality minimalist design of the garments found in the line.

Like a recently surfaced Nike Air Max 90 and Air Max Plus, Gucci’s Gara sneaker boasts an oversized retro Gucci logo on the side. Unlike Nike’s runners, the far more expensive Gucci sneaker features made in Italy construction.
The luxury label’s chunky shoe boasts premium leather and a beefy rubber sole evocative of ’90s running sneakers. Most noticeably, it primarily features a massive red, green, yellow and black Gucci logo on its sides. If the branding is too much for you, the Gara is also available in a brandless, pre-distressed iteration. Either way, the shoe’s off-white colorway, “GUCCI”-branded leather insole and star-embossed sole remain intact.
Gucci’s Gara sneaker can be pre-ordered at Barney’s, running $820 USD for the branded version and $740 USD for the scuffed sneaker. If you can’t get enough Gucci, take a look at the label’s $270 USD sweatbands.
