Drake recently visited Australia and New Zealand this month for his The Boy Meets World tour and this weekend, while in Melbourne, he received a very special pair of BespokeIND Air Jordan 1s.
The Melbourne-based sneaker creators built a one-of-a-kind pair of AJ1s from textured suede and leather for the Toronto rapper. Dubbed the “Drake Air” and bathed in a Canadian flag-inspired color scheme, the silhouette arrives with a maple leaf motif on the medial side and a heel that is embellished with a custom OVO branded button-on patch. Yet the sneaker’s crowning feature is, without a doubt, the solid 18-karat gold lace deubrés that were created by LaceSpace and encrusted with real diamonds — some serious sneaker sauce. The custom built Air Jordan 1s were delivered in a luxurious Lyx leather drawstring bag.

Custom Nike Air Jordan 1 Heritage Auctions $55,000 USD Michael Jordan Footwear Sneakers
Late last month, we took a look at a pair of modified Air Jordan 1s that went up for auction courtesy of Heritage Auctions. The throwback classics were modified by the Swoosh brand during the 1985-86 season — adding ample ankle support for a then hobbled Michael Jordan.
Over this past weekend, the customized sneakers were awarded to a winning bidder — fetching a price of $55,000 USD, which has been recorded as the highest price ever paid for a pair of Air Jordan 1 silhouettes.
When asked to comment on the sale, Chris Ivy, Director of Sports Collectibles at Heritage Auctions had this to say:
“For a global audience of Jordan collectors, this is as good as it gets.”
“Only a tiny handful of game worn Jordan I’s are known to exist, and this unique pair is by far the rarest and most desirable of that breed, as our result would confirm.”

Air Jordan 1 Bred Toe Jordan Brand Michael Jordan Black Toe Bred 2018 White Red
Jordan Brand is already making plans for 2018 with a new iteration of the classic Air Jordan 1 model. The sneaker is set to combine two popular colorways in the “Bred” and “Black Toe” editions. Starting off at the toebox you’ll find a color scheme similar to the “Bred” edition. As you make your way towards the midfoot and the heel of the silhouette it transitions to the color blocking of the “Black Toe” which incorporates white side paneling and black Swoosh logos. Tumbled leather is placed on its upper for a quality feel while traditional branding returns such as its “Wings” logos and Nike Air branding on the tongue.
Currently there’s no confirmed launch date as to when these will drop, but they are expected to hit retail shelves in 2018 for $160 USD. Stay tuned for additional information regarding the Air Jordan 1 “Bred Toe” and let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.

A hit of orange on the midsole and heel-stripe combined with a white outsole finishes off the color scheme of Gatorade’s logo.
