First seen in July, adidas reformats its sleek NMD City Sock for the upcoming winter season. The laceless shoe has been outfitted with a GORE-TEX shell befitting of the harsher climate.
Available in two monochrome colors, this NMD CS is poised to be a cold-weather go-to. GORE-TEX is well-regarded for its insulating but breathable properties that repel moisture and perfectly complements the ease of slip-on footwear. The sneaker’s textured upper is contrasted with an opposing-colored sole and adidas branding on the heel’s tonal pull tab. A small GORE-TEX tag confirms the shoe’s weather resistance.
The GORE-TEX x adidas Originals NMD City Sock is dropping November 23 at adidas stockists like BSTN. For more shoe info, check out this week’s best sneaker drops.
Brazil’s SneakersBR and Nike celebrate their respective anniversaries with a collaborative set of Air Force 1 Lows. With the former commemorating its 10th anniversary and the latter honoring the Air Force 1’s 35th birthday, a joint take on the iconic sneaker is only logical.
For this release, the classic all-white Air Force 1 Low is left mostly untouched, with only “SBR 10TH CHALLENGER CLUB” marking the upper. However, the tongue of the sneaker offers some new detailing, including vividly-colored laces, an embroidered deubrĂ© and a removable zipper. Several sets of laces are offered in both multicolored patterns and SBR branding, while gold lace locks and co-branded insoles complete the package.
The SneakerBR x Nike Air Force 1 Low “SBR Challenger Club” is currently limited to a “Friends and Family” release, but Nike has more in store for the Air Force 1’s celebrations in Brazil.
