Gucci’s obsession with SEGA continues, as the high-end fashion house recently unveiled a new iteration of its chunky Rhyton silhouette. First seen gracing the runways of Milan, which we then explored further this past spring with an updated set of images, almost seemingly paves the way to showcase Alessandro Michelle’s ongoing fascination with the old-school arcade console, dropping an all-new sneaker to take note of.
Dressed in premium black leather throughout, the lateral side of the sneaker highlights SEGA-inspired branding, while the tongue calls attention to a textured patch overlay, all of which sits atop a grooved gum outsole. Priced at £670 GBP (approximately $885 USD), this new Rhyton model can be found now via Gucci’s online shop.
Shortly after releasing its latest retro-fueled ACG Spring/Summer 2018 collection, Nike‘s All Conditions Gear division is now gearing up to bring back its popular Air Revaderchi footwear model.
Originally released in 1992, the Air Revaderchi will join the Air Mowabb for ACG’s latest retro revival release strategy. Available in both the OG “Granite/Red Plum” and a “Black/Anthracite” colorway, the classic trail model features a suede and mesh upper, neoprene inner bootie, reinforced heel counter caging and hiking style rope laces. While a subtly-speckled midsole and a traction-focused black rubber outsole round up the design of the shoe.
Priced at $140 USD, the ACG Air Revaderchi is set to arrive at Nike SNKRS and other select retailers come July 10.
Thanks to noted Jordan Brand employee Frank Cooker, we now take time to catch a first look at this themed Air Jordan 6 silhouette. Dubbed “Purple Rain,” the new variation highlights a full-on purple suede-fashioned upper with embossed branding up top at the tongue and a white lace lock adding decorative fair.
Situated below, we see a lighter shade of purple dressing the midsole, while a semi-translucent outsole ties the look together. It remains unclear if these never-before-seen Air Jordan models will see a general release, so be sure to stay tuned for future updates.
Maison Margiela has returned to its iconic Replica sneaker for a new all-white take on the silhouette. The sneaker’s white upper was designed for the sneaker to be customized, a reference to Margiela’s early work which featured sneakers drawn on by the label’s design team.
To make the sneaker more customizable, the upper is made from a polyester mix to create a paper-like texture. The papery-upper is finished with leather lining, debossed tongue patch and full-length gum midsole. The Replica also comes with a Margiela-branded marker pen for customizing.

Nike has seemingly outdone themselves and given its iconic Swoosh even more speed — the latest crop of Air Max 1 Premiums have a retooled lateral Swoosh that have a slotted tail that reaches the rear panel, evoking the sense of motion.
For those who know and have been following Nike since its origins, the brand’s synonymous Swoosh logo was created as a symbol for speed, and one that instills a sense of constant motion even in its original form. This latest edition of the Air Max 1 adds to that sense with a slotted embroidery on one of Nike’s most historically coveted running shoes.
As for aesthetics and details, the first two colorways to incorporate this style logo arrive in a Guava Ice light pink with multicolor stitching, and the other “Wheat” with Team Orange. Lace tips also are equipped with metal that go well with the premium tumbled leather outer.
While these two releases are apparently in women’s sizing only, keep an eye out for a potentially larger release later this year. If the old style Swoosh is your flavor, check out the more simplistic black and white Air Max 1s that are also releasing soon.
