It was announced earlier this month that five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo would be leaving his La Liga club of Real Madrid to join Serie A champions Juventus on a new deal worth €100 million EUR (approximately $117 million USD). He is set for his official unveiling at the start of next week.
After rumors began swirling last month, Real Madrid has confirmed the news that Cristiano Ronaldo is set to leave the Spanish club. The Portuguese forward has signed a deal with Italian champion Juventus, with a transfer fee of €100 million EUR (approximately $117 million USD).
The move brings to an end Ronaldo’s nine-year spell at Real Madrid, with the player signing from Manchester United for a then-record fee of €94 million EUR (approximately $110 million USD). Since signing for Madrid, Ronaldo has won the Champions League four times and the Spanish league twice, while scoring an incredible 450 goals in 428 games. Juventus have won each of the last seven Italian league titles.
Following up on a special-edition Mercurial Superfly 360 football boot, Cristiano Ronaldo and Nike continue their long-standing partnership with a new React FC CR7 model. The upcoming silhouette emerges in a sleek “Black/Metallic Gold” colorway with luxe detailing and React cushioning.
The upper takes on an engineered mesh with an intricate metallic gold print and a bootie ankle collar. Embroidered CR7 branding at the tongue and suede paneling at the heel give a luxury touch, while a black React midsole capped off with an icy outsole reveals more gold detailing.

Nike has introduced its newest tennis shoe, the NikeCourt Air Zoom Zero. It’s the first Swoosh model to feature a full-length, curved Zoom Air bag in the sole, articulated specifically for tennis-specific movements. The unconventional bag combines both top-loaded and bottom-loaded Zoom cushioning, resulting in full transition under the foot via one smooth path from heel to toe, with, according to professional tennis players, “no clunk-clunk motion.”
The outsole is mapped strategically to create areas of denser durability where it’s needed most. Other design details include an internal bootie for second-skin-like fit, forefoot webbing for lockdown and an angled cutout on the outsole featuring a glitch graphic of the national flags of NikeCourt athletes.
The NikeCourt Air Zoom Zero will release in three colorways for both men and women on July 19 at Nike’s web store and select retailers.
