Following the initial release of its quilted line, Vans recently released a bright take on its new update to its classic Slip-On footwear options.
Utilizing a high visibility “Russet Orange,” the latest quilted iteration is an expression of attention-demanding minimalist flair. This time around a fluorescent orange synthetic textile is used on the horizontally stitched upper referencing the construction of down-filled outerwear. Assisted by an Ultra Cush sole system, additional design details come in the form of Vans signature tag at the midfoot, a black midsole and a license heel plate at the rear.
Priced at $65 USD, the Vans Slip-On Lite Quilted is available now at select retailers like Rock City Kicks.
adidas Consortium launches its UltraBOOST Collective 2018 series with an inaugural model designed in partnership with A Kind of Guise. For this collaborative UltraBOOST, the Munich-based label looked to the lush lemon groves and Mediterranean coastline, creating a beige Primeknit upper with a raised, ripple-wave pattern and a marbled, yellow outsole.
The AKOG x adidas UltraBOOST features an uncaged upper with wide, wraparound lacing, a sock-like collar and rich leather detailing at the tongue and heel. A white full-length BOOST sole offers high-performance cushioning, while a bright yellow, marbled, terrazzo-inspired outsole lifts the palette with some zest.
The A Kind of Guise x adidas UltraBOOST will release on July 28 in-store and online at AKOG’s web store for €220 EUR ($256 USD), followed with a wider adidas Consortium release on August 25.
