The new Louis Vuitton continues to surprise. Thanks to Imed Soussi, a member of the fashion house’s PR team, we have a first look at the luxury label’s newest footwear silhouette, dubbed “ZigZag.” Similar to the cult-classic Osiris D3 and A$AP Rocky’s collaborative Under Armour shoe, the new silhouette sports a thick, cushioned tongue and rope laces, surrounded by a wavy “cage” with eyelets located in between the arches.
Two iterations of the LV Men Shoes Studio-designed sneaker have surfaced so far, one offering a metallic silver upper with blue accents, and the other sporting a black upper with similar blue detailing, except for the green monogram branding on the tongue. A thick midsole and contrasting-colored outsole complete the new model.
Following on from its recent Vans collaborations, Japanese retailer BILLY’S has now taken on Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Low silhouette. The joint release sees BILLY’S decorate the sneaker with contrasting patterns and colors, with an asymmetric design across the pair.
The sneaker comes with four different colors and prints, with orange, navy, green and “Duck Camo” featured across the pair. Lastly, the arrangement of the panels is different on each shoe in the pair. Take a look at the asymmetric Converse CTAS Lows from BILLY’S above, which are currently available for pre-order from the BILLY’S web store, with the collaboration dropping on July 13.
With adidas Football recently reintroducing the iconic Predator Accelerator boot — with help from David Beckham and Zinedine Zidane — Canadian store Deadstock has now given a closer look at the street version of the silhouette. The football-inspired sneaker comes in the same “Electricity” colorway of red and bright yellow.
The sneaker’s upper is predominantly yellow, with black detailing on the three-stripe branding and across the shoe. Red is then used on the classic Predator fold-down tongue – which features adidas branding — and on a wave that runs beneath the Three Stripes. The Predator Accelerator sneaker is set to drop via the Deadstock web store on July 5.
Fresh from a premium Todd Snyder collaboration, New Balance has returned to its 998 silhouette for a classic new colorway. The sneaker’s upper comes in a dark red tone, with panelling in both rubber and suede, which is contrasted against a solid white midsole with ABZORB cushioning.
The red upper is offset by subtle detailing in grey and silver, including on the heel tab and lacing eyelets. The sneaker’s are currently available in women’s sizes from Sneaker Politics, but keep an eye out for the red and white 998 to drop in men’s sizes in the future.
Acne Studios jumps on the trail sneaker bandwagon with its latest footwear range from its women’s Spring/Summer 2019 collection. The hiking-inspired silhouettes debuted during Paris Fashion Week and rubs shoulders with similar rugged sneaker styles such as Balenciaga‘s Fall/Winter 2018 Track sneaker.
The Acne Studios silhouette takes on an especially boulder-like shape with a high-relief rubber sole offered on both sneaker and sandal forms. The sneaker version features a multi-texture, reinforced upper with a bungee cord-inspired lacing system done up in stylish weave laces. The sandal version takes on the same technical look and materials, except with velcro straps.
