With a string of new Air Max 97s recently revealed — including in “Olive Green” and “Reflective Logo” — Nike has returned to the silhouette for a new colorway. The sneaker’s upper comes in a tonal “Mica Green” color palette which sits atop a contrasting white midsole and black outsole.
The sneaker also takes cues from Sean Wotherspoon‘s Nike collaboration, with the use of corduroy on sections of the upper. Another additional feature is a collection of metal studs, which sit around the Swoosh on the sneaker’s side. As it stands, there is no official release date for the new corduroy Air Max 97 in “Mica Green,” but keep an eye on the Nike web store for more details.
After receiving a closer look at the Public School x Nike Air Force 1 High Friends & Family, a potential release date for the coveted pair has been announced. According to sneaker insiders @py_rates, the reimagined collaborative Air Force 1 High silhouette made from premium leather, bespoke details, and deconstructionist touches, will be hitting retailers in late July/early August.
However, unlike the white-on-white colorway found on the ComplexCon 2017 exclusive, three new colorways in “Black/Sail/Black,” “Wolf Grey/Sail/White/Wolf Grey,” and “White/White/Black/White” are set to be released. We can expect each pair to be crafted from luxe leather and hardware, along with a special Nike and PSNY Swoosh insignia stitched into the tongue. Take a peek at the potential colorways of the Public School x Nike Air Force 1 High below courtesy of @py_rates and look for them to release this summer for $200 USD each.
adidas and Yohji Yamamoto have released their Y-3 Kusari sneaker in “Triple Black.” The technical silhouette was previously offered in two contrast black and white colorways, but this time it assumes a stealthier tonal look.
The Y-3 Kusari features a sleek build with a premium multi-textile upper of mesh, leather and suede. A wide-set lacing system wraps over a neoprene tongue, while a blacked-out full-length BOOST midsole completes the “Triple Black” scheme.
You can pick up the Y-3 Kusari “Triple Black” now for a marked-down price of $280 USD at Feature Sneaker Boutique.
Following the black and white colorway, Y-3 unveils its Kaiwa silhouette in a bold yellow shade. Retaining the previous iteration’s hefty sole and expansive upper, this version sports bright yellow on both the upper and midsole, with a clean white midsole to balance the overwhelmingly bright hue. The heel panel and tongue boast off-white hues and metallic silver detailing on the vamp for even bright visual appeal, while a black Y-3 patch on the tongue and ties in with black branding on the heel to ensure the shoe isn’t too off-kilter. Raw seaming and panels appear throughout, creating a sneaker that’s as detailed as it is sunny.
Pre-order a pair of the bold runners from Saks Fifth Avenue for $400 USD.
