Omega Speedmaster Mark II for 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics

Official Timekeeper of the Olympics, Omega, will reprise the position for its 27th year running at the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro. In celebration of this milestone, and in tribute to Rio’s  historical role as the first South American country to host an Olympic Games, Omega unveils the limited-edition Speedmaster Mark II.
An homage to the original 1969 Speedmaster Mark II, the second generation features a lustrous stainless steel case with a polished crown and pushers and a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. On the face of the chronograph’s matte black dial and three sub-dials are a 30-minute recorder, a 12-hour recorder and a small seconds recorder. Each sub-dial is respectively decorated with a bronze ring, 18K yellow gold ring or a 925 silver ring, meant to mimic medals awarded to Olympic champions.
The back of the case has been stamped with the logo for the Rio 2016 Game, and the edition number of the watch. For this model, only 2,016 will be produced. By
