Having finally dropped his Certified Lover Boy albumDrake is now turning his attention to his NOCTA x Nike partnership. Following the second installment in April, the duo is set to release a range of apparel and accessories for golf.

Teased earlier this month, the collection is comprised of minimalist designs. The lineup is led by outerwear items such as half-zip windbreakers and track jackets in light gray and cream white. The pieces are paired with long-sleeved nylon tops contrasted with “NOCTA GOLF” in white across the back. RIMOWA has unveiled a new brand campaign featuring Rihanna alongside Patti SmithLeBron James and Roger Federer.

Dedicated to the luggage brand’s “Never Still” collection, the visuals explore the significance of travel. “Inspired by the seismic global changes of the past two years, the campaign’s narrative probes important questions about the new role that travel will play in all of our lives,” RIMOWA’s CEO Hugues Bonnet-Masimbert explains in a press release. “As we look to the future, we follow the example set by our four icons, who have each used this period of pause to reset their expectations and experiences of travel into something even more meaningful. RIMOWA has always believed in purposeful travel, a value that carries even more importance today as we move into this exciting next chapter.”

In the accompanying video, each star explains what travel has meant to them throughout the pandemic while showcasing RIMOWA’s bags and trunks. Rolls-Royce's All-Electric Aircraft Completes First Test FlightRolls-Royce completed the first flight of its all-electric “Spirit of Innovation” aircraft, marking a milestone as the aviation industry moves toward more sustainable flight solutions.

“We are focused on producing the technology breakthroughs society needs to decarbonize transport across air, land and sea, and capture the economic opportunity of the transition to net-zero,” said Rolls-Royce CEO Warren East in a press release.

The plane took off on an approximately 15-minute journey at around 3 p.m. BST from the UK Ministry of Defense’s Boscombe Down site on Wednesday, propelled by its 400kW (500+hp) electric powertrain that is said to contain the most power-dense battery pack used in an aircraft. The aircraft’s test is part of the ACCEL program, short for “Accelerating the Electrification of Flight,” which aims to advance the development of zero-emissions aircraft.

ACCEL was funded in part by the Aerospace Technology Institute, in partnership with the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy and Innovate UK. Rolls-Royce has also been working on the development of all-electric air taxis in partnership with Widerøe, the largest regional airline in Scandinavia.

Based on the luxury automaker’s very own 1932 Boat Tail — which in turn was itself inspired by the hull of classic sailing boats — the new creation takes on a completely remade rear end with wing-like covers that open up to reveal a specially-designed trunk space full of picnic equipment and other extravagant accessories. Production of the custom vehicle required the creation of more than 1,800 unique parts and took the team a combined 20 years’ worth of manhours.

Speaking about his design, Rolls-Royce head of design for Coachbuild Alex Innes says that “It’s about changing what the motorcar means, and I think one of the most profound elements of Boat Tail, is that it does that. It’s no longer a car in the way that we understand cars. It’s not about lap times, it’s not about nought to 60s. It’s not about how fast it goes around the Nürburgring. It’s about what it means and I think that’s where the romance of the 1920s, the 1930s, the golden era of coachbuilding [comes in]. That is what it represents, this notion of challenging the definition of the motorcar.”

On top of unveiling the new bespoke Boat Tail, the luxury automaker also announced that its Coachbuild division will now become a permanent aspect of the company moving forward. “Historically, coachbuilding had been an integral part of the Rolls-Royce story. In the contemporary Rolls-Royce narrative, it has informed our guiding philosophy of Bespoke,” says CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös. “But it is so much more. Rolls-Royce Coachbuild is a return to the very roots of our brand. It represents an opportunity for the select few to participate in the creation of utterly unique and truly personal commissions of future historical significance.”

NIGO Kenzo New Artistic Director Announcement Following Felipe Oliveira Baptista’s departure earlier this year, Kenzo has now appointed NIGO as its new artistic director.

NIGO is best known for his work in the streetwear space, having built his brands A Bathing Apeand Human Made over the years. He will be the first Japanese designer to join the fashion house ever since Kenzo Takada resigned back in 1999 from his namesake label.

Sidney Toledano, Chairman and CEO of LVMH, shared in an official statement: “I am convinced that the creativity and innovation of NIGO, as well as his attachment to the history of the House, will fully express all the potential of Kenzo.” The designer noted the connection that he shares with Kenzo: “I was born in the year that Takada Kenzo san opened his first store in Paris. We both graduated from the same fashion school in Tokyo. In 1993, the year that Kenzo joined the LVMH Group, I started my career in fashion.” He further added that the new appointment will be “the greatest challenge of [his] 30-year career.”

“This partnership is special to me because it’s a collaboration that combines my roots, A$AP Worldwide and some of the most respected heritage brands that have roots in both the sportswear and lifestyle worlds,” Rocky shared in a statement. “Together with PacSun, we will be releasing several limited-edition collections that are both nostalgic and forward at the same time.”

Rocky and PacSun’s first drop will be with Vans set to release on July 16. The collection will feature three Old Skool silhouettes in black canvas, white leather and silver reflective colorways. “We are really excited to embark on this journey,” PacSun’s president Brieane Olson said. “He has been an amazing collaborator for us when it comes to storytelling.”

Olson also added that with Rocky now on board, PacSun aims to expand its core consumer age range of 16 to 24 years old, to 28 to 30 years old. “We’re super excited about the activations and are working down to the wire with Rocky’s team to get the details right,” Olson further explained. “We’re launching billboards in DTLA, wheatpasting in both cities, and we have our special visual video assets on Tiktok that’ll be supporting as well.”

In addition, Rocky and PacSun are working on “live shopping events activations on TikTok and philanthropic pieces,” as well as collaborations with influencers similar to what the label worked on with Emma Chamberlain earlier this year.
