Cole Haan‘s most recent efforts on the innovation front saw them unveil their ZeroGrand concept, which looked to create a more flexible and natural movement-inspired tooling for their range of boots and dress shoes. While the first drops featured primarily wingtips and brogues, the latest addition to this season’s range includes the ZeroGrand Tall Boot. A moccasin-based design takes on heavy workwear and outdoor connotations through three colorways which provide something not unlike what you’d see from the once related Nike Sportswear division — albeit in a more fashion-driven context. Available now at Cole Haan for $298 USD.
Cole Haan‘s most recent iterations of the Chukka boot incorporating ZeroGrand technology and tooling have had some big shoes to fill. Following-up on the runaway success of the LunarGrand of similar design sensibilities, the Chukka has been one of Cole Haan’s most widely embraced models. In a new range for Fall/Winter 2014, the highly flexible sole of the ZeroGrand is paired with three new colorways and materials of the Chukka. The collection is available now at Cole Haan with a retail price of $278 USD.
to much acclaim (seen here), today we present another look at the Mini Superleggera Vision. Designed in collaboration with Italian coachbuilders Touring Superleggera, this concept roadster reimagines Mini’s signature compact car aesthetic with an elongated, yet elegant silhouette with nods to the classic English roadsters. “The idea was to conceive a modern Riva power boat for the road, a proper Italian barchetta with a British soul,” says design chief Anders Warming. Although the Superleggera Vision is still just a concept, BMW – the owner of Mini – mentioned it’s rather possible, depending on its reception at upcoming car shows, that it may hit production in the near future.

Nike’s Air Max 90 is a year-round silhouette, but on grey, stormy days, there’s something to be said for foot protection. Enter the Air Max 90 Sneakerboot, a relatively unsung model from the Swoosh. Here we find the classic model done up with weatherproof leather around the upper, which has rearranged key elements of the design language while keeping the core elements intact. The shoe arrives as an advancement on previous ‘Sneakerboot’ iterations (namely the “WNTR” and “ICE” versions), cut high above the ankle for supreme protection. Available in both “Velvet Brown” and “Dark Grey” versions, pick up this version of the Air Max 90 Sneakerboot at retailers such as atmos beginning October 2.
