Just last week, Italian automaker Ferrari sold a one-of-a-kind LaFerrari for charity. Now it has announced an extremely limited edition 488 Spider to celebrate 50 years of selling cars in Japan. Appropriately dubbed the 488 Spider J50, only 10 of these beauties will be made and each will be tailored and customized to the exact specifications of its owner. The J50 will sport a slightly beefier 681-horsepower version of the 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 found in production 488s. The exterior will don a two-piece carbon fiber targa roof that retracts behind the seats and is supported by matte carbon roll hoops, a polycarbonate bubble over the engine, a chopped windshield and side glass, a front channel wrap connecting it to the side, and a rear diffuser. The interior will get custom trim. These are all likely to have gone to Ferrari’s VIPs in Japan already. Let us know what you think of the car below.
NIKEiD Air Force 1 Chinese New Year
The Chinese New Year festivities may be more than a month away, but Nike will have you covered so you can celebrate in style thanks to its latest customization option on NIKEiD. Created for the Air Force 1, the Swoosh’s CNY design applies metallic imagery to solid leather upper and can be done up in a traditional combination of red and gold or in other color combos, too.
The Chinese New Year option for the AF1 is available now via nike.com for $160 USD.
