There’s been no shortage of Air Force 1 models as of late, but Nike continues to find new outfits for the iconic silhouette, most recently gearing up for Halloween with a QS “Skeleton” colorway.
This thematic AF1 features a white leather upper with a ghost-like skeleton illustration in grey along the sides. A white cupsole is completed with what appears to be glow-in-the-dark outsole, while embroidered bones-style Nike insignia at the tongue tab rounds out the special edition design.
The Nike Air Force 1 QS “Skeleton” is scheduled to release in October on Nike’s web store and select retailers.
Following in the footsteps of the Jordan Apex-Utility model, Jordan Brand has now revealed another silhouette from its Flight Utility range: the Jordan Proto-React.
The new Proto-React silhouette debuts in a handful of colorways — ranging from white, metallic silver and neon-accented editions — and combines Nike React technology with Air Jordan 1 codes. The model features a Nike React technology midsole, adjustable heel straps for custom fit and Flight Utility graphic details on the tongue and heel tabs.
The Jordan Proto-React will release in 2019.
Back in July, we offered a first look at Jordan Brand‘s Air Jordan 5 Retro “Wings” edition, the latest Chicago-themed sneaker to join Michael Jordan‘s Wings Initiative collection. Now, we present official imagery of the unique colorway with prospective release info.
This special edition Air Jordan 5 features a white leather upper with an all-over print featuring illustrations of Chicago and its neighborhoods. Each shoe has a unique print, making every pair one-of-a-kind. Other details include glow-in-the-dark, mint green Wings lacelocks and side panels, a 3M reflective tongue tab, embroidered Jumpman logos, a special “Everyone Can Fly” label in the inner tongue, and an icy outsole.
It’s reported that the Air Jordan 5 Retro”Wings” will be releasing sometime in October for $200 USD in very limited quantities at Nike’s web store.
Nike‘s recent push for Air Force 1 models isn’t halting at the NBA-assisted Miami Heat and LA Lakers editions. This time, the Swoosh gives its iconic low-top a glow-in-the-dark upgrade and design revamp, resulting in a new model dubbed the Air Force 1 Utility QS.
The debut Air Force 1 Utility QS colorway comes bearing a white leather upper with black canvas buckled straps in place of the original lacing system. The midfoot strap is emblazoned with a large white Swoosh while more contrast black canvas appears at the mesh branded tongue tab and D-ring heel pull tab to complete the military look. All of this sits atop a full-length glow-in-the-dark sole unit, which appears milky, off-white in normal light and turns to bright green in the dark.
