Extra Butter x adidas Originals "Vanguard" Collection
A few days back, NY sneaker boutique Extra Butter teased its newest collaboration with adidas Originals, with close macro and detailed shots of the upcoming collaboration known simply as “Vanguard.” Here, EB officially announces and reveals the pack, which includes both a pair of ZX Flux and ZX Trail Mids with aquatic and campground themes that take notes from a stalwart of independent American cinema.
The colorways showcase a bevy of materials and patterns, from jaguar print and a glow-in-the-dark heel accent for the ZX Flux to embroidered patches, a novelty whistle, and rugged suede and canvas textured fabric on the ZX Trail Mids. Both pairs cover the spectrum of imagination and exploration, two themes the renown shop has put great thought into and executed perfectly through this duo. An exclusive scavenger hunt through the official Instagram account will initially release 100 pairs of each shoe, while an online release of the collection will follow later on September 7, with prices at $130 for the ZX Flux and $140 for the ZX Trail Mids. Check out the video below for more on the release.
Nike Air Huarache Run Mid
If Michael Keaton’s Batman had swapped out his Air Trainer IIIs or Air Jordan 6s for some Huaraches, they probably would have looked something like Nike Sportswear’s new Air Huarache Run Mid. The latest update to the classic Tinker Hatfield-designed runner, the new silhouette reinterprets the early ’90s release as a premium mid-top, retaining the overall look of the original, but pairing it with luxurious leather construction and a zippered shroud in place of the usual lacing. Capped off with a neoprene collar and a heel pull tab, the Air Huarache Run Mid will be available for ladies and small footers this holiday season, but can already be pre-ordered now via Tokyo’s atmos.
NAKED x Reebok Classic Leather "Drip"
Copenhagen-based women’s sneaker boutique NAKED has teamed up with Reebok once again for a special release of the footwear brand’s iconic Classic Leather silhouette. The sneaker is dressed in a monochromatic palette that renders the premium nubuck upper in black with matching black laces, while the contrasting white midsole is detailed with a black drip graphic. The NAKED x Reebok Classic Leather “Drip” drops in-store and online at NAKED September 5 followed by a September 11 release at select retailers for approximately $118 USD. Also check out NAKED’s latest ASICS collaboration from earlier this summer.
Nike Free Hypervenom 2 F.C. Black/White
Nike Sportswear’s Free Hypervenom 2 has received yet another F.C. makeover as a brand new combo of black and white has followed up last month’s Anthracite/Black-Cool Grey version of the design. Reminiscent of the clean black colorway, these come with a monochromatic upper, but this time pair the neoprene, hexagonal mesh, NikeSkin and Flywire construction with a Nike F.C.-branded heel pull tab. Highlighting the design is a Free 3.0 sole unit covered in the shattered pattern of the cleat plate of the shoe’s on-pitch brethren. These Free-cushioned Hypervenoms can be picked up now via nike.com for $130 USD.
Nike Air Max 1 Essential "Neon"
Nike Sportswear continues to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the now-classic Air Max 95, following its release of a “Neon” take on the Air Max 1 Ultra Moire with a corresponding version of the original silhouette. Unlike its Ultra Moire brethren, this particular “Neon” drop more closely replicates the look of the fan-favorite 95 colorway, coupling a white mesh base with dark grey leather and light grey suede as neon green accents hit the text branding, visible Max Air unit and rubber outsole. These will soon be available at NSW spots across the globe and can already be picked up via Tokyo’s atmos.
