Prince announces three-day Labor Day party ahead of album release

Have no Labor Day plans, live in Minnesota, and can’t wait for Prince’s new album HITNRUN to be released? The Purple One has you covered.
The music maestro announced via Twitter on Wednesday a three-day “international dance party” this weekend presented by TIDAL. It’s set at his Paisley Park Records complex in Chanhassen, Minn., near Minneapolis. The party kicks off at 9:30 p.m.  Friday, Saturday and Sunday with a $40 cover.
Though his face is used to promote the party, there is no explicit assurance Prince and his band, 3rd Eye Girl, will perform. The club nights do promise “advance listening,” likely of HITNRUN, which will be released exclusively on Tidal on Monday.
Co-producer Joshua Welton — husband of 3rd Eye Girl drummer Hannah Welton — teased the new record: “I would say it’s an experimental Prince record for fans who just don’t care about him sounding like a certain thing,” he told EW.
