Aston Martin and Zagato Preview Their Carbon Fiber Vanquish
Aston Martin and Zagato Preview Their Carbon Fiber Vanquish
The essence of an important design relationship.
Italian design company Zagato has joined forces with Aston Martin to deliver an eye-catching, carbon-fiber bodied Vanquish concept. The collaboration will make its official debut at Concorse d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, marking their fifth mashup. With a relationship that spans about 50 years, this edition is a display of progress since the DB4 GT Zagato from 1960.
The Vanquish concept hosts taillights with a Zagato twist that’s mixed with the Vulcan supercar’s LED technology. In the rear you’ll find a quad-exhaust system that’s complemented by a retracting rear spoiler along with a body that has carbon-fiber detailing. Zagato also leaves its mark along the hood with a double-bubble profile which pays homage to 1950′s design sensibilities.
Within the Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato you’ll find a combination of carbon fiber and leather with Z-quilted stitch patterns on the seats, headrests and center console. Its power is provided by a V12 engine, pumping out 592 horsepower.

'Gran Turismo Sport' Races to the PlayStation 4 This November
Gran Turismo has long been at the apex of the console racing experience and now, after last year’s announcement, Polyphony Digital and Sony have offered up a concrete release date and the best look yet at Gran Turismo Sport. Due out this fall as a PlayStation 4 exclusive, Sport marks the latest installment of “The Real Driving Simulator” and, as the first entry in the series to hit Sony’s flagship console, promises to be the most immersive Gran Turismo experience yet with tons of high-powered supercars, a bevy of racing classes (including GT3, Prototype and Rally) and tracks in gorgeous locales across the globe.
Gran Turismo Sport is due out November 15 while a full list of incentives for the various retail versions of the game can be found over at Sony’s PlayStation blog.

Take a Look at Ralph Lauren's All-Black 1936 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic Coupé
Globally recognized for his eponymous fashion line, Ralph Lauren is also an avid car collector with one of today’s finest collections of vintage motors. Regarded as one of his favorites, Ralph Lauren’s all-black 1936 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic Coupé is more of a sculptural masterpiece than a purpose-built machine — declared the most beautiful car in the world by the man himself. The car’s monstrous frame features exaggerated, curved wheel arches, an aerodynamic coupé attachment with ellipsoidal windows, and an extended bonnet design stereotypical of its era. On top of its very obvious aesthetic charm, the Type 57SC Atlantic Coupé features an 8-cylinder engine, twin overhead camshafts and is capable of reaching speeds of 200 kph. Head directly to Ralph Lauren’s specialist car website to hear it roar.
