Porsche‘s Mission E has been around for a while — the car first emerging as a concept back in 2015 – before more details of the electric car were released in 2017. The latest news about the Mission E, however, points to three different versions of the car arriving next year: the trio of cars will have different horsepowers, with the smallest Mission E having 402hp while the top-end version will offer up 670hp.

Billed as Porsche’s attempt to take on Tesla, the Mission E cars will feature a two-speed transmission, as well as a maximum speed of 155 mph and the ability to go from 0 to 60 in just 3.5 seconds — a full second slower than the fastest Tesla Model S. Other details about the car are scarce, although it is reported to have a range of 483 km, as well as rapid wireless charging that could see it reach 80 percent battery in around 20 minutes.

Keep a lookout for more details on the Mission E series as we approach the 2019 release. In the meantime, take a look at Porsche’s classic racing-inspired Macans.

2000’s remake of Gone in 60 Seconds saw Nicolas Cage and Angelina Jolie stealing dozens of luxury sports cars and classics, including “Eleanor,” an ultra-rare 1967 Ford Shelby GT500. Thanks to the Fusion Motor Company, “Eleanor” is set to become more attainable than ever before.

Working with the film’s co-producer Denise Halicki — the wife of the original 1974 film’s star H.B. Halicki — Fusion Motor Company is reviving the beloved car. The new makes will refurbish 1960’s Ford Mustang Fastbacks, stripping the original bodywork in favor of a Detroit Speed Aluma-Frame front IFS kit, multi-link suspension, LED lighting units, V8 engine and necessary upgrades like air conditioning and power locks. Bonus details include a Bluetooth-ready audio system, “Eleanor” detailing in the wheelwells and even a gear shift knob that reads “GO-BABY-GO,” a nod to both films.

The reproductions are priced at $189,000 USD, which sounds expensive until you consider that the “Eleanor” model from 2000’s remake sold at auction for an eye-popping $1 million USD. Get in touch with the Fusion Motor Company to begin the six month build process. In other Nic Cage news, a new trailer has surfaced for Mom and Dad, in which Cage attempts to murder his children.
Fisker Motion EV CES 2018 Electric Cars UltraCharger
A week ahead of its official introduction at CES 2018, automotive company Fisker has revealed the first look of its upcoming EMotion EV. While offering concept images of what the revolutionary EV would look like, the carmakers have suffered development issues, losing its graphene battery supplier and being forced to use standard lithium-ion to run the automobile.

However, Fisker boasts its all-new electric vehicle can run over 400 miles of range on a single charge from its electric powertrain, as well as receive 125 miles of charge in just nine minutes. The carmakers are in talks to install Ultra chargers at gas stations around the US to ensure a quick charge on the go. The image below highlights its fitted butterfly front doors and reverse-butterfly doors at the rear, a previously unknown feature. Fisker will launch the car in 2020 at a price of $129,900 USD (approx. £96,071 EUR.)

BMW M5 Configurator
Americans can now craft their very own take on the M5 as BMW has launched an M5 configurator in the U.S.

As you might expect, customization options abound for everything from the exterior paint job and wheels to the interior and on-board tech. For example, eleven different color options are available while the wheels can be upgraded to 20” alloys (as opposed to the included 19” sets) for $1,300 USD. Those interested in features like blind spot detection, lane departure warnings, collision mitigation, and active lane keeping assistant can opt for the Driving Assistance Plus Package while the $4,000 USD Executive Package adds the likes of automatic closing doors, a wireless charger, a four-zone automatic climate control system, and seats that are heated, ventilated, and massaging. Naturally, a moon roof is available too, as is Apple CarPlay and Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound — a system that equips the vehicle with 16 speakers.

Head on over to BMW’s configurator to craft your own version of the new M5 now.
