Following the reveal of new collaborative colorways from the “SOLARHU” pack — including the “MOTH3R” NMD Hu and Tennis Hu V2 styles — Pharrell and adidas Originals have now revealed the full capsule in a new lookbook. The Fall/Winter 2018 instalment of the long running collaboration takes inspiration from East Africa, with prints and colors chosen as a nod to the region.
This influence is referenced in the footwear and apparel, with the TT FZ Jacket featuring a graphic print across the chest. The jacket is a double layered, woven track top and marks the beginning of a new performance-wear aspect of Pharrell’s adidas Originals collaboration. Speaking about the dual influences of East Africa and running, Pharrell explained: “Africa is a beautiful continent and the origin of civilization. Running is a state of meditation. Why not go back to the motherland and take inspiration from such a vivid and rich culture? Why not create a tribute to this incredible sport?” The full capsule is set to drop at the adidas Originals web store, flagship locations and retailers like HBX August 18.
