During the Beijing Auto Show, McLaren presented a special 570GT made alongside fashion designer Mr. Cabbeen called the Cabbeen Collection. The 570GT is “Obsidian Black” and features a hand-painted dragon on the door in a glossy gold color that can be seen accenting the wheels and calipers. The Alcantara-trimmed center console and rear luggage deck also feature more handmade dragon motifs.
The car still has the original model’s 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 and two-seat carbon-fiber chassis, but also has a special luggage compartment on top of the engine. The Managing Director of McLaren Special Operations, Ansar Ali, has stated the collection as further evidence of the growing interest in MSO services in the Chinese market, as its design was made specifically for China. There will only be five examples made of the Cabbeen Collection.
