Two of the more renowned names in American footwear, Jon Buscemi and James Bond are bringing their career expertise to the spirits world with the launch of Wolves Whiskey.
Crafted alongside master distiller Marko Karakasevic in Northern California, the first run includes whiskey distilled from stout beer and aged in French oak barrels for eight years, a five-year-old pilsner whiskey aged in Char 3 New American oak barrels, and a rye whiskey. The unique blend is distilled in a rare alambic pot still from Cognac, France, and lightly-filtered with the mineral rich water of Sonoma County, resulting in sweet and citrusy smells with hints of nutmeg and allspice, and a flavor that mixes toasted vanilla, oak, dark chocolate and cappuccino. Finally, each French-cut glass bottle is wrapped in Italian sheepskin leather and topped with a maple wood cork.
Wolves’ first run of whiskey, nicknamed “a wolf in sheep’s clothing,” is limited to 898 bottles and is retailing for $150 USD at Flaviar.com.
