MORE FRESH SUMMER KICKS

Clarks Originals Wallabee Boot Silicone Rubber white red beige navy blue release informationClarks Originals Wallabee Boot Silicone Rubber white red beige navy blue release informationFive months into 2021, and Clarks Originals’ epochal Wallabee has been given countless makeovers already. From natural raffia and indigo cotton, to GORE-TEX covered takes, its versatility makes it the perfect canvas to play with.

Now though, the British footwear brand has turned its attention to the Wallabee Bootfor a two-piece online exclusive, each of which boasts a unique hand-dipped silicone rubber finish dubbed: the Dipped Wallabee.

Crafted in Italy, the new-look leather boots arrive in either “Natural/Blue” or “White/Red”, both of which sit atop a darker toned crepe sole. Equipped with leather laces and the traditional hangtags, each take features the brand’s new distinctive dipped silicone effect, alongside an imprint which reads “BA16 0EQ” as a nod to the Clarks Originals Somerset-based HQ.

Available exclusively from the Clarks Originals webstore, each Dipped Wallabee retails at £420 (approximately $580 USD).High-flying New York Knicks rookie Obi Toppin is one of the newest members of the Jordan Brand family, and the Jumpman has just blessed him with his first-ever PE: an Air Jordan 35 Low dubbed “Orange Flood.” Combining a Knickerbockers-inspired orange color scheme with rich gold embellishments, the design showcases newness, potential and NYC basketball pride.

As mentioned above this low-cut Air Jordan 35‘s uppers are done up almost entirely in orange, from the Flightwire quarters and toeboxes to the Air Jordan 12-esque mudguards. If you look closely, however, you’ll see touches of navy blue on the laces, around the tongue’s pull tab and on the heel’s Nike Air graphic. Gold appears on both the Zoom Air unit-housing Eclipse Plate 2.0 and the Air Jordan 5-inspired tongue’s Jumpman logo to round off the look.

As for Toppin himself, his Knicks have been the story of the 2020-2021 NBA season. At the time of writing they’re sitting at 37-29, which is good for 4th in the Eastern Conference and guarantees their first winning season in nearly a decade. Toppin has largely been stuck behind Julius Randle — a leader for the NBA’s Most Improved Player award who is having a career year — but has had an opportunity to flash his elite athleticism in limited minutes.

Toppin’s Air Jordan 35 Low “Orange Flood” PE will not see a retail release, but you can check it out above. If you want to see a Jordan Brand sneaker that you will be able to purchase at retail, take a look at the Air Jordan 1 Low “Arctic Orange” — a low-cut iteration of the popular Air Jordan 1 “Crimson Tint” from 2019.nike sportswear air raid white gum light brown DJ5974 100 official release date info photos price store list buying guideWith its beefy upper, criss-crossing straps and bold “For Outdoor Use Only” hit on the heel, Nike (NYSE:NKE -0.03%) ‘s Air Raid is far from delicate. However, the rough-and-tumble streetball sneaker originally endorsed by Tim Hardaway has now arrived in a light and airy “White/Gum Light Brown” makeup that’s ideal for the summer — no matter if you’re hoopin’ or lampin’.

High-cut uppers top their sturdy ballistic mesh base with tumbled leather overlays, all of which are dressed in white. Signature detail is served by criss-crossing fabric straps on the forefoot, secured by a Velcro anchor point on each side of the collar. Though the Air Raid is one of the rare Nike Sportswear sneakers to be Swooshless, its branded hits arrive on the tongue, the lateral side’s strap anchor and the aforementioned “For Outdoor Use Only” heel hit. Midsoles continue the tonal white stylings, but gum outsoles bring a finishing touch of contrast into play by creeping up onto the heel, toe bumper and forefoot, the last location of which secures the straps at their bottom.

The Nike Air Raid “White/Gum Light Brown” will release on the Nike webstore come May 7. Its MSRP is set at $140 USD.As lore has it, May is a month of love and success — so it seems only fitting that the world’s biggest footwear brands would be kicking it off in style. During this first week of May, we’re set to see high-heat styles from brands like Nike (NYSE:NKE +0.12%) adidas (XETRA:ADS.DE -0.77%) Jordan BrandNew Balance and Dr. Martens, but before we dive into the best drops from the next seven days let’s take a look at what went down last week.

Travis Scott’s 29th birthday was May 30, so HYPEBEAST ranked his Nike and Jordan Brand collaborations from worst to best. The latest installment of Sole Mates saw HUF brand director and Innovative Leisure co-owner Hanni El Khatib discuss his affection for Nike’s Air Zoom Flight 95.

Per usual, there was plenty of news on the Jordan Brand front. We got two blasts from the past: one when NBA legend Rip Hamilton starred in the aforementioned Travis Scott’s Air Jordan 6 “British Khaki” campaign, and another when Bill Murray’s Air Jordan 2s from Space Jam were put up for auction. Release dates were announced for the Air Jordan 1 KO “Chicago” and the Air Jordan 4 “White Oreo,” and official images of the Air Jordan 1 “Shadow 2.0” popped up.

There was something for everyone in the world of Nike too. Nike Basketball was busier than usual with news around the revival of two classic LeBrons — namely the LeBron 8 “South Beach” and LeBron 8 V2 Low “Miami Nights” — plus the official announcement of the Concepts x Nike Kyrie 7 collection. Moving from hoops to sportswear, the Supreme x Nike Air Max 96 collection was revealed in full, the UNDERCOVER x sacai x Nike LDWaffle “Bright Citron” caused a stir and a Puerto Rico-themed Air Max 97 surfaced. Of course it wouldn’t be a proper week without some Dunk news, so we also got a look at the Dunk Low “Sunset Pulse” and the Dunk Low “NY vs. NY.”

The adidas YEEZY line had its moments in the spotlight as well, with on-foot shots of the YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 “Mono Cinder” plus a look at the YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 “Light,” a brief glance at the YEEZY FOAM RNNR “Ochre” and the announcement of two restocks: the YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 “Tail Light” and YEEZY DSRT BT “Oil” and “Rock.”

Lastly, Crocs shares hit an all-time high and Palace revealed its inagural Crocs collaboration. Noted prankster Imran Potato teased giant foam slip-ons that look like human feet, and Rick Owens teamed up with Dr. Martens to craft a second collaborative capsule.

Caught up? Let’s get into this week’s 10 best releases. When you’re done sifting through the top drops, you can also head over to HBX to check out even more new footwear styles.

Why You Should Cop: A continuation of Slam Jam and New Balance’s (Un)Corporate Uniforms project, the two’s new made in the UK 991 may appear simple at first glance — but it’s richly detailed, both in build and story. Composed of both tough ripstop and supple pigskin suede, the do-anything shoe presents a stark look that aims to be an ultimate “uniform” piece, i.e. something the wearer can rock with pride each and every day. Why You Should Cop: This week’s drops list is finishing on a far-out note thanks to the Stingwater x Nike SB Dunk Low “Magic Mushroom.” If its trippy inspiration wasn’t made obvious enough by its moniker, the “Magic Mushroom” also features a rich red and white color scheme, safari print detailing, falling font around its midfoot jewel swoosh, a strange “Plant Emoji With Eyes” graphic split across its outsoles and even a hidden stash pocket under the tongue. Be careful with this one: it’s potent.
