NERD Pharrell Williams adidas Originals Hu NMD Release Info Drop Date November 4 5 2017 Exclusive Black Silver
It’s been a big couple of days for N.E.R.D., as the Pharrell-fronted group teamed up with Rihanna to release a comeback single and unveiled a capsule of Training Gear with adidas. The adidas collaborations are set to continue, as the sportswear giant has officially unveiled the N.E.R.D. x Hu NMD sneakers.
The clean sneakers first appeared back at the start of September, as Pharrell stepped out in a pair at the YO’HOOD 2017 event. The N.E.R.D. x Hu NMD sneakers come with a tonal black upper, as well as the words “Y.O.U.” and “N.E.R.D.” down each shoe in reflective silver lettering. The heel tab features the group’s Shepard Fairey-designed brain logo in the same silver detailing.
Set to release at ComplexCon — which runs from November 4-5 — alongside what adidas has described as “an extensive collection curated by N.E.R.D.,” keep checking back for more information on the sneakers, as well as what other pieces drop as part of the wide ranging collaboration.
adidas is also set to release a Hu NMD from Pharrell and Chanel at the French brand’s colette pop-up in the coming weeks.

Off-White™ Nike Virgil Abloh Air More Uptempo Nike Air Max Plus Concept The Golden Shape
Off-White™ Nike Virgil Abloh Air More Uptempo Nike Air Max Plus Concept The Golden Shape
Off-White™‘s “The Ten” collaboration with Nike has arguably been this year’s biggest release, with Virgil Abloh winning the 2017 Footwear News Achievement Award for “Shoe of the Year.” Despite taking on 10 classic Nike silhouettes, some people have wanted to see the collection extended. French artist The Golden Shape — who has previously made Air Force 1 Creepers — has mocked up what it might look like if Virgil Abloh had also decided to work on the Nike Air More Uptempo and Air Max Plus silhouettes.
The two sneaker concepts both feature the signature touches from “The Ten,” such as the safety tag through a lace hole, the Off-White™ for Nike branding, and the “shoelaces.” Other than that, the two sneakers come in full white colorways inspired by the “GHOSTING” color palette that runs through five of the original pairs in “The Ten,” including the Nike Air Force 1 Low and the Nike Air Max 97.
Take a look at the Air More Uptempo and Air Max Plus concepts above, and then check out the full ten-piece Off-White™ x Nike collaboration in New DEAL’s recent editorial.

Nike recently unveiled two sneakers with oversized logos, which followed the announcement of a Gucci sneaker with supersized branding. Now, Vans has tossed its hat into the ring with a set of Sk8-His and Old Skools covered with a giant logo.
An all-black pair of Sk8-His and Old Skools and their inverted counterparts all feature enormous “VANS” branding in contrasting colors, a reissue of a past design. Aside from the print, the sneakers are tonally sound, with matching laces, soles and tongues — even the foxing on the midsole is whited or blacked out. The sneakers are executed in grain leather aside from the patch with the logo, which features tonal suede for a subtle contrast.
The Old Skools and Sk8-His are available from retailers like Europe’s Titolo now.
Air Jordan 9 LA NBA All-Star Weekend Jordan Brand
Air Jordan 9 LA NBA All-Star Weekend Jordan Brand
With the 2017/18 NBA season well underway, it won’t be long until fans start getting excited for the All-Star Weekend in February. To pay homage to the 2018 rendition that is being hosted at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Jordan Brand will debut an “LA” iteration of the Air Jordan 9. Wrapped in a white-black monochrome color scheme, black forming the upper with white covering both the midsole and outsole, the silhouette appears clean and simple. Hits of metallic gold on the tongue and heel branding add a touch of class, while the Los Angeles map-inspired insoles add some regional flair.
Fans should look for the Air Jordan 9 “LA” to drop in time for next year’s All-Star Weekend, that see’s a move away from the classic East vs. West format to a captain/draft style. The shoes will be at select Jordan Brand retailers and its online shop for $190 USD.
One man certain to be present at the All-Star Weekend is LeBron James. We recently caught up with the star to chat to him about his off-court duties.
