Zevs is back in the spotlight after a ten-year hiatus. The French street artist returns to Hong Kong’s Over The Influence gallery for a new show entitled “Supreme Meme.” Known for using his art to challenge the status quo, the artist is now questioning the branding power of Supreme and Louis Vuitton for his latest presentation that features paintings, installations, performance art, and sculptures. His trademark “Liquidation” effect is predominantly observed across all pieces, transforming the logos of both the legendary streetwear brand and iconic fashion house. Highlights include a sprawling red mural wall painted with dripping “Supreme” text in white and a Greco Roman-inspired statue with tagged LV monograms.
“Supreme Meme” is on view until August 4. Head over to Over The Influence’s official website to learn more. In other art news, check out SHOK-1’s latest show at the Arsham/Fieg Gallery inside New York City’s KITH SoHo store.
