Made from recycled and sustainable materials.

Launched in 2018, ski and fitness brand Matek debuted its Technical Performance Intimates line specifically designed for winter sports apparel for women. For its Fall/Winter 2019 collection, the label has decided to expand into the men’s and children’s categories that include its signature style, the Gentoo – a full-body long-john.
Used as a base layer for sportswear during the colder months, Matek’s items arrive in performance-enhancing fits and have been incorporated with recycled and sustainable materials. Abigail Stern, the founder of Matek, said in a press release:
“When I was first introduced to the mountains, I was a young kid visiting with my family. During college in Boulder, CO, I made memories with a new sort of family – a big group of friends. It only made sense for Matek to become accessible for everyone.”
Alongside the launch, the brand has also introduced a new colorway across all styles dubbed “Taos,” inspired by the colors from the ski station in New Mexico. Take a closer look at the lookbook in the gallery above which was shot at Stern’s vacation home.
Matek’s FW19 range is now available for purchase at its website. For more fashion-related news, be sure to check out Montréal-based brand Overtime’s Fall 2019 collection.
