ASICS Gives a Trail-Inspired Update to the GEL-Lyte MT in "Carbon"
ASICS Gives a Trail-Inspired Update to the GEL-Lyte MT in "Carbon"
ASICS gives another classic silhouette an outdoor-influenced look, following its GEL-Lyte V pack in “Carbon Grey” unveiled last month. The updated GEL-Lyte MT sees an extended mid-top silhouette and embraces technical details like a mono sock liner, a split tongue and durable heel tab — combining elements of both the V and III. Comprised of mesh and suede materials along the upper, hues of neutral carbon and taupe are accented by pops of blue and pink throughout. The sneaker is finished off by a rugged outsole with increased traction, suitable for off-road activities. The ASICS GEL-Lyte MT in Carbon/Taupe Grey is available at stores like Concepts now.
Nike Dresses the Air Max Zero in "Smokey Blue"
Nike Dresses the Air Max Zero in "Smokey Blue"
Hot on the heels of a unique tan/pink/blue color combo for women, Nike Sportswear’s Tinker Hatfield-designed Air Max Zero is back in yet another brand new colorway. This time around, it’s “Smokey Blue.” Marked by a predominately white upper, this latest rendition is of the “Essential” variety and ditches the ripstop nylon construction of the aforementioned women’s pair in favor of the silhouette’s usual combination of mesh and seamless synthetic overlays. Here, the shoe’s namesake “Smokey Blue” hue hits the mesh portions of the kicks, as well as the branding, eyelets, rubber outsole and visible Max Air unit.
Retailing for $130 USD, the Nike Air Max Zero Essential “Smokey Blue” is available now at NSW spots like Rock City Kicks.

Nike is set to release a Fruity Pebbles-inspired Nike Little Posite Pro. The Nike Little Posite Pro “Fruity Pebbles” is a play off of the legendary LeBron 4 colorway that was also inspired by the cereal. Like the LeBrons, the kids Foamposite colorway features a multicolor outsole and a Fruity Pebble graphic applied onto a white base upper. Retailing between $50 USD and $180 USD, Nike’s Little Posite Pro “Fruity Pebbles” will be available in a full children’s size run January 28 online and in-store select Foot Locker locations.

Special Nike Kyrie 3 PEs Help "Uncle Drew" Stand out on the NBA Hardwood
Following the launch of the “Black Ice,” “Samurai” and “Warning” editions, the Nike Kyrie 3 has also been seen on the feet of Kyrie Irving on the NBA Hardwood in special PE colorways. As the Swoosh continues to roll out additional colorways of Irving’s third signature silhouette we now have a look at a couple new PEs specially made for “Uncle Drew.”
The first colorway hosts a black base with a color transition of yellow to orange on its lateral Swoosh. You’ll also find red, orange, white and yellow speckling as a complement to its black midsole. Closing out the PE is its bright red lining as well as transitional coloring also found on the tongue’s Kyrie logo.
The second PE edition of the Nike Kyrie 3 boasts a similar black dominated upper with a white Swoosh on its lateral side. This time around the pattern along its upper host the color shift with a combination of purple, red and yellow. The silhouette rests atop of an icy outsole and black midsole while its lining also follows the black coloring theme throughout.
Saucony Brings Quilted Construction to the Grid SD
Saucony Brings Quilted Construction to the Grid SD
Originally introduced back in 1991, Saucony’s Grid SD has been one of the brand’s go-tos over the years and the subject of some of the brand’s best executions, whether it be the likes of 2015′s Just Blaze-designed collaboration with Packer Shoes, Sneaker Freaker‘s “Kushwhacker” or last fall’s “Garden” pack. This latest iteration of the early ’90s silhouette continues the trend. Boasting luxurious quilted construction, the design sports a clean combination of tan and grey throughout its Wolverine Silkee Suede-clad upper. And, as per usual, the kicks come complete with Saucony’s proprietary Ground Reaction Inertia Device cushioning system.
The quilted Grid SDs are available now from Sneaker Politics for $110 USD.
