NEW MUSIC: GOLDLINK / JAYZ / ASAP ROCKY

Watch GoldLink Soulful Cover of OutKast’s “Roses” on BBC Radio 1’s Piano Sessions
DMV artist GoldLink is the latest guest to participate in BBC Radio 1’s Piano Sessions series. He’s joined by Irish trio Hare Squead and fellow long-time collaborator Masego as they perform an amazing stripped down acoustic rendition of OutKast’s 2004 classic, “Roses.” The D.C. rapper not only honed in on some of Andre 3000′s trademark cadence, but added a little soulful flair of his own to track. Alongside the OutKast cover, GoldLink also performed renditions of “Herside Story” & “Crew.” Listen to both below and catch him live this fall when he embarks on his At What Cost Tour set to hit 35 cities across North America.

JAY-Z's "BAM" Video With Damian Marley Is Now on YouTube

While many would rest on their laurels after going platinum in just five days, JAY-Z is continuing his movement with the official YouTube release for “BAM” featuring Damian Marley. In the video, you’ll find the rap legend exploring Bob Marley’s old neighborhood in Trenchtown, Jamaica with the legend’s son Damian. The video opens up with an aerial view of Bob Marley’s old stomping grounds while Damian provides narration about the village where his father born was raised. In addition, “BAM” samples Sister Nancy’s “Bam Bam” which serves as the backdrop in the video, creating the ideal setting for Jay and Damian as they discuss Rastafarian culture and its influence on hip-hop as we know it.
