The University of Oregon is back with a tandem of footwear gems. This time around Jordan Brand uses its Air Jordan 13 model as the canvas for special “Friends and Family” iterations for the school. For the basketball program, the silhouette honors Phil Knight’s son, Matthew. Its upper is coated with grey suede while the outsole is treated with yellow. A large “MATT” is found embroidered on the tongue in green while the sneaker’s traditional heel hologram sees the Oregon Duck mascot.

The University of Oregon’s football program sees “Quad Green” suede on the majority of the Air Jordan 13’s upper to reflect the state’s landscape. Tumbled leather is also incorporated above the midsole in grey while volt coloring is shared on the outsole and inner lining. Similar to the basketball program’s edition, the Air Jordan 13’s original hologram is replaced by a “Quad Green” duck created by Tinker Hatfield.

Jordan Brand just gave the Air Jordan 6 an ultra-decked out Chinese New Year outfit, but the retro model continues to take on 2018, this time appearing in a slick black and gold colorway that nods to the 2006 DMP pack.

This sneaker fuses the AJ6 DMP colorway with Flight Club ‘91 silhouette, which sees an all-black suede and mesh upper, gold Jumpman insignia throughout, and glossy patent leather accents at the toe and heel counter. The model’s main focus, however, is the sculptural black, gold and icy sole unit, which gets updated with black speckling on the metallic gold section.

This year’s NBA All-Star weekend is quickly approaching and Jordan Brand is adding another model to the festivities. The Air Jordan 9 joins the roster of releases in a special “City of Flight” colorway. The sneaker shares contrasting black and white coloring throughout with subtle gold detailing. Black is shared on its nubuck underlay while white wraps around the sneaker’s overlay from its ankle down to the toe box area. In addition, the insoles incorporate Los Angeles’s unique skyline for the final touch.

The Air Jordan 9 “City of Flight” is slated to drop on February 10 for a retail price of $190 USD on Nike SNKRS and additional Jordan Brand retailers.

After months of teasers, Miami’s Solefly finally unveils its limited-edition Air Jordan 17 Low. The collaborative design consists of a lustrous yellow, black and silver colorway; not to be confused with Michael Jordan’s All-Star Game-worn “Lightning” version when he was with the Wizards in 2002 (see below). When it comes to construction details, the basketball shoe is outfitted with a premium leather upper, woven ankle collars, rubber outsoles, alongside metallic eyelets and heel overlays for a luxurious look.
