The Ullens Center for Contemporary Art (UCCA) in Beijing will host China’s largest exhibition of Pablo Picasso works this summer. The monumental presentation was made in conjunction with the Musée national Picasso-Paris to display a total of 103 pieces spanning paintings, sculptures, and works on paper. Collectively, these distinct works were made by the iconic artist from 1893 until 1921.
“The three decades under consideration here were a period of artistic discovery and ferment for the young Picasso, whose style underwent numerous changes, from the academic realism of his student days to his post-war return to classical style after the great Cubist adventure,” said UCCA in a statement.
Head over to UCCA’s website to learn more about the exhibition set to take place this June 15 until September 1. In other forthcoming exhibitions, Futura is set to display over 60 original paintings at Berlin’s Urban Spree.
