HIP HOP ENTERTAINMENT NEWS: Lil Wayne Is Suing Cash Money For $51 Million / Benzino Arrested for Loaded Gun at Atlanta Airport / Ludacris Wins Full Custody of 13-Month-Old Daughter

Holy shit. TMZ reports that the rumored Lil Wayne lawsuit against Cash Money for $8 million is very real, and, in the immortal words of Mr. Dinkvery expensive—like, $51 million expensive. As previously rumored, Wayne’s also fighting to be let go from his contract, and to be declared the joint copyright holder of all Young Money recordings.

Police say hip-hop media executive and former reality television star Benzino was arrested at the Atlanta airport after a loaded handgun was found in his carry-on bag.
Benzino, whose real name is Raymond Scott, told The Associated Press on Wednesday (Jan. 28) it was an “unfortunate and honest mistake.” He says he forgot to remove the gun from his bag.
Benzino Shot During Mother’s Funeral Procession
He was charged Tuesday with carrying a gun in an unauthorized location and released an hour later on $3,000 bond.
Benzino, the CEO of Hip-Hop Weekly magazine, appeared on VH1′s reality show Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta and is a former co-owner of The Source magazine. Last year, Benzino was shot by his nephew while driving in a funeral procession for his mother in Massachusetts.
Benzino says the gun is registered to him. However, he was arrested under Georgia law because he did not have a license to carry a gun.

Ludacris has been granted full custody of his 13-month-old daughter, Cai Bridges.
Cai Bridges is daughter to Ludacris — born Cris Bridges — and Tamika Fuller. They’ve been involved in an ongoing custody battle, which Ludacris won on Monday.
“After review of all the evidence, the testimony of the witnesses, the report of the guardian ad litem, and the claims made throughout this entire case, I am gratified that the judge found me to be the most fit and proper parent to have primary physical custody of our beautiful daughter,” the rapper/actor told People in an exclusive statement.
Ludacris Is Married
At one point in the trial, Fuller claimed that Ludacris “offered her $10,000 and a house if she lost the baby” and an increase in child support. Ludacris claimed that Fuller’s allegations have “publicly humiliated” him.
The court’s decision comes a month after Ludacris married Eudoxie Mbouguiengue, on the same day he proposed. He also has a 13-year-old daughter, Karma Bridges, from a previous relationship.
