Staple and Timberland join forces to release the #POLARNIGHT footwear collection for 2015. Both brands hail from the Northeast, where gear is designed to be all-weather and able to withstand harsh conditions while still being comfortable. Staple’s design team drew inspiration from a phenomenon called polar night, where in certain regions of the Earth at certain times of the year, the darkness lasts for more than 24 hours. This oddity of nature was manifested into a three-piece footwear collection, fusing Staple’s design aesthetic with Timberland’s expertise in all-weather footwear. The collection includes the Lace Ox, inspired by Timberland’s original Abington Cap-Toe oxford, the GT Scramble, and the Nordic Field boot. All three pairs in the collection were designed with the spirit of perseverance needed to thrive in harsh conditions.

Building on the success of the brand’s Nike-assisted LunarGrand — which has since been rechristened the “Original Grand” following Cole Haan’s sale — Cole Haan’s ZeroGrand silhouette returns for 2015 with a new “Forest Camo” look. Covered in forest green camouflage, the latest edition of the ZeroGrand adopts a split suede upper and sees its perforations lined in order to keep the elements at bay. Cushioned with the brand’s lightweight and flexible Free-like cushioning technology, the “Forest Camo” edition of the ZeroGrand Wing Oxford is now available online and at Cole Haan retailers for $268 USD while supplies last.

Ushering in the perfect balance of worn detailing with fresh materials and design is, again, visvim, here highlighting a release from its Spring 2015 line. The HILTS BOOTS MID-FOLK draw inspiration from vintage walking boots, and although they maintain a minimal appearance, their classic lines make it a first-choice silhouette of its kind. The upper is of course executed in thick, luxurious brown calf suede, stitched atop a handmade Goodyear-welted sole. At the interior, a breathable cow leather lining allows permeability while also molding to the foot.
