Following Vault by Vans’ recent collection honoring Frida Kahlo, Ulta Beauty has also launched a collection to celebrate the Mexican painter’s birthday which is July 6. While the artist passed away in 1954, she remains to this day an inspiration to numerous creatives.
The lineup features a total of nine makeup items paying homage to Kahlo. The Signature Box arrives with a 12-color eye shadow palette with matte and shimmer finishes, the Blush & Bronzer Duo comes in two shades, the Artist Brush Set is a box of four makeup brushes, the Face Primer blurs pores for a smooth base, the Brow Master Palette includes setting wax and highlighter for flawless brows, the Matte Liquid Lipstick features four shades, the Cosmetic Bag boasts an image of the artist on a black background, the Liquid Illuminator adds a multi-dimensional glow to your look and the Floral Headband completes your Kahlo-inspired look.
With prices ranging from $10 USD to $30 USD, this affordable collection is available online and will launch in-stores on July 22.
Following pop-up store openings at various locations including Mykonos earlier this year, Louis Vuitton has announced it will be opening another temporary location, this time in New York City. The store will be focused mainly on the brand’s men’s collection designed by Virgil Abloh.
Spanning 6,000 square-feet, the spot will feature the house’s Fall/Winter 2019 collection. The monochromatic space will be decorated entirely in neon green, from the furniture to the exterior, similar to the recent bright orange store in Chicago. The store is set to open in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, referencing the setting of the men’s show in Paris in January.
The Louis Vuitton FW19 pop-up runs from July 12 through July 21. Make sure to stop by if you’re planning to travel through New York this month.
