Nike Sportswear has brought back its rubberized mosaic-esque “Metric” construction — used to great effect on a blacked-out Roshe Run back in 2013 — for 2015, applying the motif to a mid-top version of the classic Blazer. Echoing the aesthetic of the aforementioned Roshes, the new Blazer Mid adopts a pitch black look and pairs the Metric construction with a nylon mesh tongue, rope laces, and leather applications to the mudguard, eyestay, and heel. A Spring/Summer 2015 release, the Blazer Mid Metric QS is set to hit the likes of Tokyo’s atmos January 17 before making its way to additional NSW retailers later in the season.

After tackling off-pitch football-inspired footwear with the introduction of the Free Hypervenom Mid, Nike Sportswear has followed the release of black and white takes on the silhouette with a non-tonal edition of the shoe to kick off the new year. Inspired by the “Blue Lagoon” colorway of Nike Football’s “Shine Through” boot, the latest Free Hypervenom makes use of the Hypervenom’s revolutionary 3-D textured upper and pairs the cleat’s dot-patterned motif with 3M reflectivity, a predominately black aesthetic, a speckled Free 3.0 sole unit, and a red heel pull tab. Look for these to be available from atmos beginning January 17 before making their way to additional NSW spots for Spring/Summer 2015.
