FRESH KICKS:

Nike's Air Vapormax Surfaces In "Triple White"
“Triple White” has officially made its way onto the Nike Vapormax model. The silhouette is one of Nike’s latest innovations and we’ve already seen a ton of colorways of what to expect such as grey options“Oreo” and more. The upcoming Vapormax model will be available for women and stay true to its innovative aesthetic thanks to its Vapormax Air technology and lightweight Flyknit upper.
There’s no official release date for these as of yet, but Vapormax fans can expect these to drop sooner than later this spring/summer season.

Nike Unveils a "Volt" Colorway of the Kobe A.D. NXT
Hot on the heels of a “Wolf Grey” debut, Nike has unveiled a second rendition of the unique Kobe A.D. NXT and shed some more light on the unconventional silhouette. Billed as a reaffirmation of the “reawakening of the Kobe line,” the design sees Kobe Bryant working alongside longtime collaborator Eric Avar to create a shoe unlike any previous Kobe model. Here, a new lacing system “functions to promote optimum containment during play by naturally adjusting to the athlete and providing a secure fit for each foot” and works in tandem with a Flyknit-constructed shroud. As for cushioning, the shoe once again goes with a drop-in midsole, in this case combining Cushlon with a Zoom Air bag and forefoot siping for added flexibility. The Flyknit upper even sports a subtle lotus flower-inspired circular motif throughout — a representation of rebirth — while secret codes translate to “unhinge” and “end and begin” on the lateral and medial sides of the shoes, respectively.
Like the grey version of the design, the “Volt” iteration of the Kobe A.D. NXT is due to be available on a limited basis come Saturday, April 1, before getting a wider release on Monday, April 3.
The Air Max 97 "Metallic Gold" Is Making a Return in Europe
With Air Max Day festivities now a figment of history, Nike turns its attention to celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Air Max 97 silhouette with a retro of the popular “Metallic Gold” colorway. Set to see a European release before hopefully making its way across the Atlantic stateside, the golden upper will return in all its glory with the iconic red mini Swoosh, white midsole, and instantly noticeable fully clear Air bubble and black outsole.
The Air Max 97 “Metallic Gold” is set to release at select European retailers on April 20 for $180 USD. Fans in the U.S. can purchase the “Silver Bullet” iteration on April 15 at select retailers in anticipation.
adidas Unveils the NMD_R2 in an Understated White and Red Colorway
adidas Originals has just unveiled the NMD_R2 in another colorway, this time appearing in white with flashes of red. The drop comes just two days after the company gave the NMD_R1 some love, remaking it in a sleek camo colorway, and now it has turned its attention to the R2 model. The shoe uses a Primeknit upper, tonal stripes and a white BOOST sole unit that’s accented by a red outsole and heel tab. The NMD_R2 launches next week on April 6 at all adidas retailers.
Nike Drops a Couple of Earthy Air Huarache Colorways
Nike is going in a decidedly different direction with its latest takes on the Air Huarache than it did with the bold “Afro Punk” look it debuted earlier this month. This time around, the Swoosh is opting for a couple of more understated, earthy looks for the retro runner. While one pair comes in a “Phantom” colorway that takes its gum sole and applies the same look to the silhouette’s signature TPU heel support wrap, the other appears in a combination of khaki and olive with a stark white midsole.
Two of the better Huarache drops to pop up in recent months, the “Phantom” and khaki releases can be picked up now via Caliroots.
