LUXURY: Audemars Piguet Reveals Royal Oak Concept Laptimer Watch With Dual Seconds Chronograph / Zagato Previews the New Maserati Mostro

Created with means of measuring and recording a series of consecutive lap times, Audemars Piguet presents the new Royal Oak Concept Laptimer. The wristwear has been largely comprised of forged carbon and titanium, as it is a followup to the 2010 delivery by Audemars Piguet ambassador and 7-time Formula 1 world champion Michael Schumacher.

The watch showcases split-second measurement thanks to two central seconds hands. With the press of a button, one hand stops and the other continues to circulate, altogether marking an intermediate time. The hands can then be reunited upon pushing the button once again. The wristwear can also measure, display and record record time with a single second hand while the other can be stopped and restarted independently.
This impressive and functional work of art from Audemars Piguet is set to be released in limited edition fashion (221 units) with a price tag of $229,500 USD.

While this vehicle was designed for the track, we can also expect it to be appropriately street-ready. The unharnessed power featured throughout the Mostro is a nod to the 1957 Maserati 450 S, also known as “il Mostro.” The car boasts a mounted V8 that provides for optimal weight distribution, then featuring a six-speed semi-automatic transmission
