KICKS: adidas Originals Stretford/ Nike Roshe One "Varsity Red"/ GREATS 2015 Fall/Winter Royale Chukka/ adidas Originals Pro Model "Xeno" Pack/ Billy Reid x K-Swiss 2015 Fall/Winter Collection
Fresh off the release of an apparel collection inspired by the club’s 1985 FA Cup-winning kit, adidas Originals has teamed up with Manchester United once again — this time to release a limited edition sneaker. Dubbed the Stretford and taking its name from the famous Old Trafford stand, the clean kicks take cues from the Red Devils’ 1968 European Cup-winning kit, pairing a black suede and leather upper with royal blue stripes, golden accents and a classic gum rubber outsole. United’s Red Devil logo even decorates the heel of the silhouette.
The Stretford launched in-store today at size?‘s Manchester location for £75 GBP (approximately $116 USD).
If you thought “Red Octobers” were dead, think again. Kanye may no longer be a part of the Swoosh, but that hasn’t stopped Nike Sportswear from continuing on with Yeezy 2-popularized colorway, this time applying it to the popular Roshe One. Retaining its usual mesh construction and plush cushioning, the design’s aesthetic is exactly what you would imagine — a monochromatic look that employs “Varsity Red” throughout. The kicks can be found now at select NSW spots and nike.com for $75 USD while supplies last.
It’s officially fall and, to usher in the season, GREATS has updated its Royale Chukka with a trio of brand new colorways. Crafted from Italian suede, this season’s takes on the mid-top include “Camel,” “Cargo,” and “Nimbus Grey” colorways — each of which subtly incorporates GREATS’ signature logo along with contrasting rubber soles. Best of all, each pair comes lined in synthetic wool to keep your toes toasty in the wintry days ahead.
Look for all three colorways to be available online October 22 for $169 USD per pair
adidas Originals brings back the hi-top Pro Model silhouette with a “Xeno” pack. The iconic Superstar-inspired sneaker is reworked with two colorways: Light Onix and Core Black. The Three Stripes’ insignia is completely transformed through diamond-esque cutouts on the tops and bottoms of the lines, a motif that is repeated throughout the upper of the shoe using embossed impressions. The main logo on the body is also constructed with reflective material, adding an additional accent of detail. With each version featuring an allover tonal wash, the Pro Model is a clean, futuristic update. You can shop the adidas Originals Pro Model “Xeno” now at Overkill.
Billy Reid and K-Swiss enter into a collaboration this season in celebration of the Americana roots of both brands. The collection consists of low- and high-top variations of the Arlington model, which are based on classic K-Swiss styles such as the Surf and Court sneakers. The shoes are rendered in premium materials such as Montebello skins and waxed suede with copper hardware details. The chukka-like Arlington Welt Hi ($195 USD) is outfitted in rich tobacco and black Italian suede, with full-grain leather stripe branding and plush pigskin lining. The low-top models ($175 USD), meanwhile, come in the colors of tan, brown and navy. Now available in-store and online at Billy Reid.
