KICKS: Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG "Powder Blue"/ adidas Superstar RT "Chalk White"/ Nike Air Max 90 Essential "Bright Crimson"/ Jordan Westbrook 0 "Midnight Navy Suede"/ New Balance Made in England 575
Inspired by the school colors of Michael Jordan’s collegiate alma mater, the University of North Carolina, this latest “Powder Blue” colorway from Jordan keeps it simple with a strictly duotone palette of Powder Blue and White. Rendered in an upper of premium leather, the shoe sees embossed Air Jordan branding on the ankle and a tonal rubber outsole. Pick up a pair from select retailers, including Sneaker Politics, once it becomes available on October 10 for $160 USD.
adidas‘ latest offering introduces a stripped back, minimalist aesthetic to the classic Superstar model. Boasting a clean triple Chalk White colorway, this Superstar RT features a plush, Chalk White perforated suede upper, matching Three Stripes, and off-white laces, which are accented with a clean white midsole and the signature Shelltoe in white. The adidas Superstar RT “Triple White” is now available for purchase at Titolo and Afew for approx. $112 USD.
If you can’t find a pair of “Infrared” Air Max 90s anywhere, Nike Sportswear has you covered with the next best thing: a “Bright Crimson” colorway of the retro runner. Featuring color-blocking nearly identical to that of the OG classic, the “Essential” design opts for a white mesh base and leather overlays throughout as it swaps out “Infrared” for “Bright Crimson” and pairs the hue with black accents. Fans can find these now at select NSW stockists worldwide.
Russell Westbrook’s getting his very own blue suede shoes thanks to Jordan Brand’s latest rendition of the Westbrook 0. Featuring the same “Midnight Navy” make-up as the pair that debuted last month, this particular version ditches leather in favor of suede while incorporating faux snakeskin detailing reminiscent of the “Light Bone” take on the off-court silhouette. Finished with gold lace jewels and white rubber foxing, this blue suede edition of the Westbrook 0 is available now from Sneaker Politics for $130 USD.
As part of its 2015 Fall collection, New Balance offers up two new “Made in England” versions of the 575 silhouette. The retro runners are rendered in fall-ready navy and brown across their respective suede/mesh uppers, while tonal lacing and contrasting off-white overlays finish off the classic look. Look to add these to your fall sneaker rotation at select accounts including Hanon Shop for £109 GBP (approximately $165 USD) now.
