FRESH KICKS: NIKE / ADIDAS / ASIC

Nike Air VaporMax 97 Footwear Sneakers Shoes Running Sportswear
Nike continues to swap the soles of classic Air Max silhouettes for the seamless Air VaporMax bubble. Following the Air VaporMax Plus is the all-new Air VaporMax 97 shoe wrapped in a beige hue alongside red, white and black accents for a balanced look. Conclusively, the runner is topped off with the translucent Air unit.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen the AM97 with the VaporMax sole. This past March, Nike launched their Vote Forward campaign, highlighting unique creations of various Air Max silhouettes created by leading figures in the industry. Designer Artemy Lebedev and creative director Bunyamin Aydin’s interpretations first saw the air bubble sole on the AM97.

Peep the Nike Air VaporMax 97 variant above and expect an official launch at select retailers in 2018.

Featuring an olive green colorway, the sleek runner features the usual flyknit upper and translucent VaporMax sole. Matching laces, swoosh, and tongue tag keep the sneaker tonal. However, the rear panel beneath the swoosh has been updated with a swath of digi camo in complementary earth tones.

Nike Air VaporMax 2018 Flyknit Flywire Pink Blush Swoosh
Nike‘s most advanced Air Max model, the Air VaporMax, took 2017 by storm following the release of the COMME des GARÇONS collaboration back in February. Since then, the coveted silhouette has been seen in a multitude of different colorways, from its OG “Pure Platinum” hue to fan favorie “Triple Black.” The model has already even seen a new spin on its make with the Laceless.
Now thanks to sneaker photographer @sneakerprophet_, we now have a first look at the new upgraded version of the Air VaporMax. The shoe retains its Flyknit upper, Flywire and VaporMax sole, while a reduced Swoosh and update to the heel freshens up the look for 2018. No other official information on the upcoming VaporMax has been released as of yet, but keep it locked at HYPEBEAST for further details when they arise.
Nike Air Max 97 Country Camo USA Release Date Pack
So far, we’ve seen the UK, Germany, Italy, France and Japan colorways from Nike‘s Air Max 97 “Country Camo” pack. Now, the Swoosh is adding the “USA Camo” edition to the popular series.
First debuted in 2013, this brazen USA Air Max 97 boasts a tiger-camouflage print, which, unlike the other models that feature contrasting single-hue accents, entirely covers the sneaker’s textile and leather upper. A black midsole with visible Air unit anchors the classic AM look, a bright orange accent at the toe outsole infuses some vibrancy, while an American flag tongue tab indicates the special series.
The Nike Air Max 97 “USA” edition from the “Country Camo” pack is slated to drop sometime in December. Stay tuned for the exact drop date and retail price and let us know which of the models from the “Country Camo” pack is your favorite in the comments below.
