NEW KICKS: NikeLab Lunar Huarache Light / NikeLab ACG 2015 Spring Flyknit Trainer Chukka SFB / ASICS GT-II "White" / Nike LeBron 12 "What If"
NikeLab keeps the releases coming, following up this season’s Flyknit Trainer Chukka SFBs with the brand new Lunar Huarache Light. A nod to Tinker Hatfield‘s original 1991 Air Huarache Light, the design — seen here in a clean all-white make-up and also due out in black — now sports a plush Lunarlon sole unit in place of its usual Air-cushioned sole, but retains its OG mesh and leather construction as well as its signature translucent thermoplastic eyestay. Expect the new release to be available from Nike.com and NikeLab locations in limited quantities beginning March 12.
Fresh off last week’s Flyknit Trainer Chukka SFB releases, the silhouette returns as a part of the Spring 2015 ACG Collection from NikeLab. Offering a look that’s even more eye-catching than last season’s version, the newest piece of ACG footwear is once again treated with a water-resistant Defender Repellent Systems spray and, this time, couples a predominately black upper with a reflective underlay, contrasting white sole unit and bold orange ACG insignia. Look for this season’s NikeLab ACG Flyknit Trainer Chukka SFB to be available at NikeLab locations and Nike.com beginning this Thursday, March 12 in limited quantities.
Joining the “Green Ash” edition of the GT-II this spring is a clean white take on the classic ASICS runner. Ditching the aforementioned green pair’s suede construction in favor of a breathable mesh base and leather overlays, the release comes decked out in white and sports light grey hits to the heel counter and outsole while blue accents are subtly incorporated throughout. Fans of the predominately white GT-II can find the retro silhouette now at Titolo.
It’s hard to imagine LeBron James as anything besides one of the greatest basketball players in the world, but this latest colorway of his namesake shoe asks us to do just that. The LeBron 12 “What If” features a royal blue and metallic silver upper, a translucent blue outsole, and sky blue laces, all said to be representative of King James’s infinite athletic potential. Considering he was an all-state football star as a sophomore and junior in high school, it certainly makes you wonder—what if LeBron James chosen football over basketball? We’ll never know, but at least you can pick up these shoes on Saturday March 14 over at Nike.com.
