Officine Autodromo will be auctioning the last of its 224 Prototipo Chronograph Vic Elford Limited Edition Timepieces at the Bonhams Amelia Island Automotive Auction. Watchmakers at Autodromo announced their collaboration with motorsport icon Vic Elford in 2013, celebrating his legendary victory at the 1968 Targa Florio in Sicily, widely regarded as one of the greatest drives of all time. The top-crafted chronographs have been sold out since its release, and remain hotly sought after — frequently purchased off resellers for a substantial profit. The proceeds of this sale will go to Micah’s Place, an organization which provides refuge for domestic violence victims. The Banhams Amelia Island Automotive Auction will happen on March 12. Coming in the form of the clean and classic Rolex Explorer, the collab sees the watch with Bamford’s signature military-grade titanium finish and couples a matching black face with white indices, co-branded “:CHOCOOLAAPE” logo, and a military green NATO strap. Bamford Watch Department joins LA-based designer and fashion guru Dr. Romanelli to produce custom Rolex watches. Paying homage to King Feature Syndicate’s legendary comic characters Flash Gordon and Phantom, the collaborative watch collection consists of a Rolex Explorer II and a Rolex Submariner model decorated in vibrant accents. Included in the special edition package is a uniquely crafted presentation box, which houses a custom, numbered comic strip poster, steel warranty cards and handcrafted rings by British brand, The Great Frog. Military-grade titanium coating protects the scratch-resistant premium watches as an engraving of the DRx logo adorns the reverse side of the watch. The Dr. Romanelli x Bamford Watch Department “Flash Gordon” and “Phantom” custom Rolex watch collection will be available exclusively at BWD’s online store.
Switzerland-based luxury watchmaker Jaeger-LeCoultre presents an updated version of the 2010-released Master Compressor Extreme LAB 2. This time around the timepiece features blue accents along the dial instead of red, and a new smooth ceramic bezel that replaces the previous ridged variant. A double pin buckle gives the fast strap-change system an unprecedented length adjustment ensuring a better fit. Like its predecessor, the new Master Compressor Extreme LAB 2 is housed in a 46.8 mm by 16.5 mm titanium alloy case, and is equipped with a mechanical chronograph movement designed for the most extreme environments. This exquisitely crafted is available for purchase via the brand’s e-boutique along with the previous red version.
VOID‘s new V01 MKII watch gives a contemporary update to its beloved digital watch, the V01. The MKII version of the classic stainless steel model offers a streamlined, minimalist design with its signature rectangular shape, thinner design, premium Italian calfskin leather strap, and simple digital LCD display that’s covered in sapphire crystal for extra protection. The water-resistant watch is finished off with a sandblasted matte finish for a polished look.
