One of Andy Warhol‘s current exhibitions titled “From A to B and Back Again” at the Whitney Museum of American Art will be moving to the West Coast, with its new home being the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
The exhibition is curated by revered curator and Warhol expert Donna de Salvo, who became acquainted with Warhol back in the ’80s when the renowned pop artist worked with fellow colleagues Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat. The installation first opened in November 12 last year and features an encyclopaedic collection of Warhol’s greatest: from his most famous pop works and commercial illustrations to his flower paintings and even his rare later productions revolving around hammer and sickles, skulls, and collaborations with Haring and Basquiat.
“From A to B and Back Again” is now showing at the SFMOMA, and will stay there until September 2, 2019. For those lucky enough to be in the neighbourhood, it’s definitely well worth a visit.
