PUMA has unveiled its next collaboration for Spring/Summer 2019, this time around working with the late Karl Lagerfeld on its unisex Roma and women’s Roma Amor silhouettes.
The posthumous collaboration comes after Lagerfeld’s passing in February, capturing his playful and youthful energy through the collection’s use of bold patterns and contrasting tones. The unisex Roma silhouette sees a black leather upper adorned with circular Karl Lagerfeld logos and white polka dots — a color scheme synonymous with the late designer.
The Roma is rounded off with a blue sock liner, Karl Lagerfeld x PUMA co-branding on the tongue and a tonal white and grey foam sole unit. Previous collections between the two saw subtler takes on PUMA classics, such as a Lagerfeld-approved black and white PUMA Suede from FW18.
The women’s Roma Amor elevates the classic Roma design with a thick “KARL LAGERFELD” branded sole and all-over circular Lagerfeld branding. Its satin-finished upper is again adorned in white polka dots and is complemented by millennial pink branding and interior lining.
Both pairs will retail for $130 USD and will be available for via a pre-launch on KARL.com and PUMA.com on 15 May, with a global release on 16 May at select Karl Lagerfeld stores and PUMA stockists.

The relationship between Nike and the French International Football team has yielded a bevy of unprecedented collaborative items thus far. Continuing down this road, Jordan Brand is dedicating yet another footwear silhouette to the World Cup Championship winning Les Bleus.
Utilizing the less popular Air Jordan 1 Mid model, the fresh pair is dressed in a clean white leather outfit equipped with an icy blue outsole. The perforated toe boxes and ankle portion helps to add a bit of texture to the pair, while black Air Jordan branding injects some contrast. Finally a gold Jumpman logo is showcased on the tongue tabs while the motto “Nos Differences Nous Unissent” is printed on the back heels. The saying translates to “Our Differences Unite Us” in English and appears on the France kits for both the men’s and women’s teams.
Interested fans will be able to purchase the “Nos Differences Nous Unissent” Air Jordan 1 Mid starting May 16 for a retail price of $120 USD at select Nike retailers and nike.com.

Louisiana-centric boutique Sneaker Politics is planning to introduce a collaborative set of Air Jordan 1 Low sneakers at a public block party, only one of the major attractions of the blowout event. Though a performance from Lil Keed and plenty of homemade food will be on hand, the limited sneakers and a matching set of sweatpants are at the core of the event.
Informed by an earthy color palette, the collaborative Air Jordan 1 Low sports a sandy beige suede upper and white mesh on the tongue for extra breathability, all atop a gum midsole. Pink laces and outsole offer a playful counterpoint to the otherwise neutral-toned sneaker, with even the stitching and rear AJ1 branding rendered in camouflaged white hues. A black sockliner ties the design together, with a P (for “Politics”) embroidered towards the heel to reinforce the silhouette’s collaborative nature and match the pink insoles.
Head to Sneaker Politics’ website for all the info on the limited release — 504 pairs only — and the accompanying party, which will benefit The Youth Rebuilding New Orleans charity. As an added incentive, random pairs of the collaborative $100 USD Air Jordan 1 Low will grant customers the opportunity to reserve a pair of the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 “Cactus Jack” for the next day.
