NBA: Russell Westbrook Signs the Biggest Shoe Deal in Jordan Brand History

Russell Westbrook Signs the Biggest Shoe Deal in Jordan Brand History

NBA MVP Russell Westbrook has just signed a mega 10-year extension deal with Nike’s Jordan Brand, the most lucrative endorsement deal for a Jordan athlete thus far according to Nick DePaula of ESPN. Westbrook is currently in the middle of his current contract with Jordan Brand, a five-year deal originally signed back in 2013. This new extension will see him stick with the company through the 2025/26 NBA season. Along with the new deal, Westbrook will also see his first own on-court signature shoe which will be “unlike anything that Jordan Brand has done before,” an industry source told DePaula. Full terms of the deal haven’t been disclosed as of yet.
This deal will also include annual donations from Jordan Brand made to Westbrook’s “Why Not?” Foundation in OKC and Southern LA, as well an “ambassador clause,” meaning Westbrook and Jordan Brand’s partnership will extend after his retirement.
In case you’ve missed it, Russell Westbrook has just released his book, Russell Westbrook: Style Drivers which showcases the basketball star’s fashion expertise.
