“Bartier Cardi” is the latest single from Grammy nominee Cardi B, featuring 21 Savage. This year has been momentous for the artist who is known by many due to VH1’s Love & Hip Hop: New York.
This single is the follow-up to her Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping hit “Bodak Yellow” which features Cardi slaughtering the vibrant beat. On “Bartier Cardi,” the Bronx rapper shows us why she received her two Grammy nods over a bass-heavy beat. This track is an exciting way to end 2017, especially since a forthcoming EP is in the works according to Rolling Stone.

On her cover, Cardi dons Christian Louboutin knee-high boots, Balmain and Versace onset in Los Angeles. The cover star shares the highlights of her monumental year, one is holding the number slot of the Billboard ”Hot 100.” Her reign at the top of the charts with “Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)” lasted three weeks long. The only other hip-hop female artist to do so is Lauryn Hill with Doo Wop (That Thing) in 1998.
On walking in the footsteps of Lauryn Hill Cardi shared with Billboard:
“Lauryn Hill is like a goddess. For me to be in the same sentence with her, and one day a new female rapper to be in the same sentence with me.”
Undoubtedly her die-hard work ethic has gotten her to her spot in the hearts of hip-hop fans. 2017 has been filled with career-making moments for Cardi. This year alone she won five BET awards, was featured on the Migos‘ “Hot 100” hit “Motorsport” and more. To top it all off she even got engaged to Migos’ Offset, who gave her a custom ring worth $550,000 USD.
When speaking about wanting more for her future family she shares:
“This is my work ethic: I do not want to raise my future kids where I was raised, and I know the only way to do it is working, working, working, working, working.”
