Height and Light, an emerging jewelry line crafted by Long Island, New York native Andira, releases its lookbook for this season.
This line according to Paradise Magazine is influenced by the designer’s ’90s upbringing which consisted of seeing women in men’s clothing adorned in bold, gold jewelry. Her vision for Height and Light stems from being uninspired by the jewelry she was seeing, so she decided to fuse her talent for sketching with her love for Ancient Kemet. Andira’s handmade pieces have been seen on Lil Uzi Vert and Cardi B.
The “Active Collection” is directly inspired by the sun’s energy and its electromagnetic field. The lookbook features visual artist Mumbi Obrien wearing unisex gold necklaces, necklaces as bracelets and gaudy rings. We also see heavy symbolism in the collection which includes an ankh which is a Kemetic symbol for life in addition to a ring inspired by Egypt’s Giza pyramids.
Purchase the new Height and Light collection at the brand’s website where pricing starts at $65 USD.
