Canadian tattoo artist Steve Wiebe has linked up with Jordan Brand to release a House of Hoops-exclusive collection comprised of the Air Jordan 10 “University Red,” Jordan Super.Fly 2017 and Jordan Generation. Steve Wiebe is responsible for a lot of ink you see on the court. Of the artist, Kevin Durant notes, “He goes through every fine detail to make a portrait look as real as possible on your skin.”
Drawing on his illustrative realism, Wiebe has designed three sneakers proving style and substance aren’t mutually exclusive. The Air Jordan 10 in “University Red” features texturized leather panels along the eyestay finished with custom artwork on the insole. The Super.Fly is reworked with a muted grey upper and dynamic outsole. Finally, inked with “23” lettering on the heel, the Jordan Generation is fully dressed in black cracked leather with red lining.
While there is no confirmed release date, expect the three-part collection to drop late December exclusively at House of Hoops in Harlem.

The Air Jordan 9 is back with a slight makeover to battle challenging weather ahead. Previously shared in the cult-favorite “Olive” colorway and new “Multicolor” version, the AJ9 Boot NRG will soon drop in a Black/Light Gum color combo.
This time around, its upper is coated in all-black, thus contrasting its rugged light gum-painted outsole. A mix of leather and suede is applied throughout, while D-ring eyelets complete the traditional boot aesthetic.
The Air Jordan 9 Boot NRG in Black/Light Gum is slated to drop on December 6 for a retail price of $225 USD at select Jordan Brand retailers and Nike SNKRS. Take a look at the imagery above and let us know if there’s another Jordan silhouette that deserves a boot makeover.
Hot off the heels of debuting the Air Jordan 9 NRG Boot in a classic black and brown scheme, Jordan Brand is now giving the winterized silhouette a multicolor look for those in search of something more upbeat.
This version of the sturdy model boasts the same features as the original black and brown edition — with a robust leather-constructed upper, metal D-ring eyelets and a hefty sole unit ideal for various terrains — but in a quirky color-blocked palette that sees an aqua blue and grey upper, a navy and orange sole unit and hits of neon blood orange at the heel tab and Jumpman logos.
The image comes by way of Jordan Brand’s Frank Cooker, who notes in his Instagram caption that these are still in the sampling process. Needless to say, these sneakers still don’t have a confirmed release, but stay tuned for more information and let us know if you’re a fan of this fruity colorway.
