This past Thursday, KAWS announced that he will be releasing his all-new SMALL LIE collectible figure next week. Now, the Brooklyn-based artist reveals the exact date and details of the drop. The vinyl edition is set to arrive in black, grey and brown variants. All figures were made in collaboration with Medicom Toy.

Brands from Rag & Bone to Columbia are lining up to work with Star Wars as excitement builds over The Last Jedi. Keeping the trend going, Japan’s Medicom Toy has unveiled a Stormtrooper BE@RBRICK modeled after John Boyega‘s character, Finn.
The FN-2187 Stormtrooper BE@RBRICK is available in 400% and 1000% iterations. Naturally, the figure boasts authentic detailing, right down to the bloody, smeared handprint across the visor. Previous Stormtrooper BE@RBRICKS were modeled after the older costumes, while this new release focuses on the designs introduced in The Force Awakens.
Launching on December 16, the smaller and larger models will run you ¥8,800 and ¥37,000 JPY (approximately $80 and $325 USD), respectively. For all those marveling over the Star Wars hype, take a look at the fans who lined up for the new film an entire week early.
BAPE and Medicom Toy have teamed up once again on a special edition series of BE@RBRICKs. The longstanding Japanese duo wraps the popular collectibles in BAPE’s signature 1ST CAMO motif. A total of three color options are available to choose from: green, blue, and pink. Furthermore, 400% and 100% sizes of each colorway are purveyed in the limited range.

Japanese toymaker Medicom has teamed up with wood experts Karimoku Furniture once again on a BE@RBRICK constructed entirely of wood. Last year, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Japan’s Toy Expo, the two brands collaborated on a “Woven Wood” BE@RBRICK. This year, their back with a much larger wooden BE@RBRICK that weighs 58 pounds and is just a little over two feet tall. Artisans worked on the toy bears for months using a special carving technique known as Yosegi-zukuri. Each one comes packaged in a wooden box and can be purchased now at WOAW’s shop in Hong Kong for $8,940 USD.
