Legendary artist and photographer Nobuyoshi Araki is working with Saint Laurent and colette for his latest showcase.
Taking to Saint Laurent’s colette pop-up, Araki has unveiled a 16-part series known as “Saint Laurent Shiki-in,” which translates to “lust for color.” Revolving around shots of model Anja Rubik, the artwork stands as the very last display to be featured in the current Saint Laurent and colette collaboration. Besides Araki, Saint Laurent designer Anthony Vaccarello also helped Araki produce the piece; he described its subject as a “a free, hedonist and elusive woman.”

The full exhibit will be available for viewing on the store’s upstairs mezzanine, and signed collector pieces will be on display on the first floor. Besides Araki’s work, Saint Laurent and colette’s new collaboration include’s new apparel, Baccarat crystal goods, vinyls, speakers and more.










French luxury label Saint Laurent has teamed up with Parisian retailer colette to spearhead a multi-brand collection that features apparel, skatedecks, a Vespa, speakers, leather goods, Baccarat jewels, chocolates and much more.
The apparel line includes black graphic print T-shirts and hoodies that pay tribute to rock ‘n’ roll icons such as Patti Smith, Axl Rose, Depeche Mode, Bryan Ferry and Blondie, while a variety of small leather goods and accessories such as tags, pouches, purses, totes and fetish toys continue the rocker vibe.
Flagship products include a customized vintage Polaroid SX-70 camera, skate decks by Arkaic Concept coming in a leopard print version and an Inez & Vinoodh roller images version, speakers and headset by Bang & Olufsen and Baccarat crystal goods.
Other notable items include a Total Black Vespa, Helmets by Ruby in a full crystallized and all-black versions, heart-shaped chocolates by Pierre Marcolini, a calendar with #YSL12 pictures by David Sims, a vinyl compilation of tracks selected by Travis Scott and much more.
The Saint Laurent x colette collection will take place from November 27 to December 20 on the first floor of colette’s flagship location in Paris with the store closing its doors for good on December 20.

Following this season’s court sneaker, Saint Laurent‘s Fall/Winter 2017 biker jacket is the latest item in the brand’s stable to receive a pre-distressed treatment.
With black leather biker jackets a staple of the brand, designer Anthony Vaccarello utilizes minute details to differentiate the seasonal items. This iteration’s unique characteristic is subtle burnishing along its seams; cognac detailing, wherein layers of dye are removed during the leather-working process, features around the jacket. In contrast to the worn-looking leather, the buttons and zippers boasting the brand’s stamped logo are a clean silver. Zippered pockets, epaulets and a slightly cropped fit make for an wearable take on Hedi Slimane‘s preferred style of leather jacket.

Having released the “River Blue” Antibe 05 and the “1971 BAD LIEUTENANT” Joe Mid-top sneakers earlier this year, Saint Laurent has unveiled the latest addition to its footwear collection. The new drop from the Parisian brand sees a new take on the classic court silhouette, along with distressed and smudged detailing across the sneaker.
The standout feature of the shoe is the “SAINT LAURENT” embroidery across its outer side. The sneaker comes in an off-white leather upper, atop a tonal rubber outsole. The court shoe is the finished with gold embossing across the tongue.
