Marking the return of the Air Jordan 6 Retro Low following its introduction in 2002, the latest White/Infrared 23-Black serves as an addition to other Air Jordan 6 Lows from this season. As undoubtedly one of the most anticipated colorways in the series, the design retains many of the design cues seen across its high-top predecessor with the inclusion of a black midsole as opposed to that of its white counterpart. Featuring perforated side panelling, the shoe’s smooth leather upper is completed with a branded sport fabric tongue and adjustable lace fastener, as well as a supportive air unit accented by the colorway’s famed transparent blue outsole. Despite the various Nike and Air Jordan Independence Day themed sneakers that will surely ensue in the coming weeks, the Air Jordan 6 Retro Low “Infrared” will release on July 4 for $175 USD with more information soon to be made available via Nike’s official website.
After previously teasing solo shots of the respective red and blue sneakers to be included in the collection, Nike has officially unveiled the line up for its upcoming Nike Sock Dart “Independence Day” pack. The three distinct pairs making up the pack sport a separate tonal wash of either white, red or blue, the colors of the American flag. Black accents denoting Nike’s branded Swoosh insignia completes the monochrome iterations of Nike’s reigning runner design. Although they were originally rumored to be arriving at retailers during the Fourth of July holiday weekend, the “Independence Day” pack is scheduled to be available for purchase from European retailers this Thursday, June 25, followed by a statewide release in the coming days.
Vans follows up its premium Old Skool Zip collection with a trio of new colorways for its Sk8-Hi Zip silhouette. The iconic hi-top’s upper is realized in premium leather with tonal nubuck overlays, and features the distinct sidestripe logo in contrasting hues. Zipper detailing at the heel and perforations along the toe box rounds out the design for the upper, which is placed atop of a crisp white sole.
