Returning to Swedish born, Hong Kong-based designer David Ericsson as his VOID collection gets a new addition. Following in the footsteps of the V03C alarm watch, a minimalist timepiece we were pleased to introduce back in March 2014, Ericsson creates a more intricate model in the form of a Chronograph. Centered around a Miyota Japanese OS25 Quartz movement, the V03C features six individual hands telling time down to split seconds, all housed in a stainless steel case. Details designed for readability, luminescent hands suit beside a simple date window. Featuring either a black, off-white or silver face, this simple design is topped off with high-grade leather straps in brown or black as well as textured “Croco” versions. Pick your favorite at the VOID webshop and Dezeen.

We’re used to seeing beautiful Horween leather watch straps from worn&wound, but today the brand announces its first-ever use of Cordovan. The leather is “just about the best and rarest leather available,” thin enough for lightness and comfort while maintaining visual richness and durability. In four colorways — whiskey, burgundy, navy (this writer’s personal favorite) and mahogany — the American-made straps pair well with just about any watch face and comes in three sizes. You can shop them for $89 each starting today.
