FRESH KICKS: colette x ASICS GEL-Lyte III/ Nike Air Presto "Brutal Honey"/ adidas Originals EQT Racing '93 OG/ Nike KD7 "What The"/ adidas Originals Tubular Runner Primeknit "Blue Spice"
French boutique colette has collaborated with ASICS for the 25th anniversary of the sneaker brand’s iconic GEL-Lyte III silhouette. Featuring blue-on-white and white-on-blue polka dot-adorned leather panels, white colette branding to the heel, and ‘Paris’ emblazoned on the outsole, the sneakers are set to be as eye-catching as they are exclusive, with only 1,990 pairs set for release. To be priced at around $169 USD, the colette x ASICS GEL-Lyte III will release on June 27 at colette with a global release to follow shortly afterwards.
Golden hues highlight the latest iteration of the Air Presto as Nike Sportswear presents a “Brutal Honey” edition of the comfy silhouette for a Summer 2015 release. Retaining the look of the original, this take on the classic 2000 release sees a black upper coupled with light grey accents while bright yellow hits the mesh lining, midsole Swoosh and rubber outsole. Capping off the design are golden accents on the toe, toe Swoosh, tongue branding badge and molded heel counter/lacing apparatus.
The “Brutal Honey” edition of the Air Presto launches this Saturday, June 20 at select NSW stockists.
The EQT Racing ’93 is the latest shoe from adidas’ Equipment range to be resurrected, returning for Summer 2015 in its OG Green/White/Collegiate Red colorway. Just as it did in 1993, the sleek runner appears here with a lightweight mesh base, coupling the breathable material with supportive nylon overlays on both the medial and lateral sides, a leather toe and heel, compression-molded midsole and black rubber outsole for traction. The OG reissue of the EQT Racing ’93 can be purchased now from adidas Originals retailers like New Jersey’s Packer Shoes for $100 USD.
Eighteen different shoes become one cohesive design as Kevin Durant’s latest signature gets the “What The” treatment from Nike Basketball. Sporting the fan-favorite “What The” motif — first employed by Nike Skateboarding footwear designer James Arizumi back in 2007 on the SB Dunk — the latest edition of the KD7 takes elements from 18 previous iterations of the KD to revisit the OKC star’s countless footwear releases, donning everything from “Aunt Peal” and “All-Star” midfoot straps to lightning-inspired graphics, glow-in-the-dark Hyperposite heels, “Global Game” tongue branding, “Egg Nog” sock liners and more.
The Nike KD7 “What The” is set to launch alongside a matching T-shirt this Saturday, June 20 at select Nike Basketball retailers and nike.com.
First seen earlier this month, the “Blue Spice” edition of the Tubular Runner Primeknit is now making its way to adidas Originals stockists. Joining the “Black Carbon” edition of the silhouette, the release opts for a predominately blue scale-patterned Yeezy Boost Low-esque upper, coupling the look with matching rope laces, a supportive overlay, and plush off-white Tubular sole unit. Retailing for $150 USD, the kicks can be purchased now from spots like Rock City Kicks while supplies last.
